Greetings of the Season

Hi,

Today's card uses Jen's Deconstructed Sketch 66 layout, and it's another Christmas card for my 2012 stash. I've definitely been making some headway on Christmas 2012, LOL.

I added an extra circle element on top of the rectangle panel to accommodate the stamp that I wanted to use. The larger background panel is stamped with the snowflake stamp from the set in three different blue inks. I pulled some non-holiday papers out of my stash and used them just for something different.
Lots of stitching and the light blue rhinestones put the finishing touches on.

Supplies
Stamps: Four Seasons set by Stampin' Up (2012 Hostess set)
Papers: TE Choice Snow white and bright green CS, SU Soft Sky CS, and Happy Go Lucky by American Crafts PP
Ink: SU Marina Mist, Baja Breeze and Soft Sky classic ink pads and Soft Suede and Real Red markers
Other: Classic circle and scalloped circle Nesties, SU 1 1/4" new scalloped circle punch, Want-2-Scrap blue rhinestones, sewing machine, the Big Shot and dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by,
Colleen

Just Crusin' By

Happy Sunday evening all,

I'm happy to say that I'm typing this post on my brand-spanking new MacBook Pro computer. I couldn't get my old laptop to boot up all week, so on Saturday, I went in and bought a new one. I am loving it! My old computer was also a MacBook Pro, though several years old. After finding out how much it would have been to repair it, I decided that I'd rather put the repair money into a new one. I got the newest model, the 15" Retina Display with the flash memory. Boy oh boy, is it fast! I had the Apple folks transfer all of my files, pictures and programs from my old computer too, so it was totally ready to go when I brought it home this afternoon. So great!

After coming home from the Apple store, I settled in to watch baseball and stamp. Since it is a Sweet Sunday Sketch Sunday, that's where I started. Love this sketch today. I decided to go with all Taylored Expressions stamps, two sets, and accessories for my card today.

I used papers from Echo Park called Welcome Summer. My cruise ship is colored with Copics and all of the panels are stitched.

Here's a look at the inside:

Supplies
Stamps: Bon Voyage and Under The Sea sets by Taylored Expressions

Ink: Memento tuxedo black, SU Riding Hood Red, and Copics
Other: classic circle Nesties, TE "Waves and Bubbles" impressions plate, TE "Pennant Border" die, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals

Have a fabulous week all and thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Just For You

Hello,

It's been quite awhile since my last post. A few things going on. Some travel for work and some for vacation. I've been home for a little over a week, and I made some cards last weekend. Unfortunately, for me, I couldn't post them due to computer issues. I was able to do some HD repair and so far today, it's been cooperating. Hopefully, it will stay that way for a little longer. If I do have to buy a new computer, I have the one I want all picked out. It will be fun to have a new toy, but I'll keep using this one as long as I can. I managed to make sure that I have all of the pictures and files that I want to keep saved, so if it totally dies, I'm okay.

Today's card is made with one of the new SU sets from the Holiday  Mini catalog. This set and it's coordinating dies are really fun to play with.

This is an SU only card.

Supplies
Stamps: Perfectly Preserved by Stampin' Up
Paper: SU Very Vanilla and More Mustard card stock and SU Orchard Harvest DSP
Ink: SU Luckey Limeade, More Mustard, Pacific Point, Garden Green and Early Expresso classic ink pads
Other: SU Perfectly Preserved Framelits, Apothecary Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Square Lattice embossing folder, linnen thread, SU brads, the Big Shot, and dimensionals

I hope your weekend has been a good one. Thanks for looking in today,

Colleen

Googly Ghouls and SSSC 164

Hi all,

I'm just squeeeeking in my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 164 card under the deadline. I've been away from home for a couple weeks, first traveling to Delaware for work then spending this past week in Northern California visiting with the fam. After finishing my laundry this morning and doing some other chores, I sat down this afternoon to stamp.

My card uses some new stamps and accessories from the SU Holiday Mini catalog. Cute stuff!

As you can see, I changed from a square card to the basic A2 size. I plan on using this as one of my M&Ts for my craft group tomorrow and the ladies aren't fond of square cards (costs more to mail). My top panel is also tilted and I added some fake stitching with a black marker. Frankie's and Zombie's eyes, as well as the "Os" in BOOO, use the new goggly eyes from SU. Love these as they have adhesive already on them for easy use. Spider's eyes are coated with yellow Stickles.

This is an all SU card other than the Stickles.

Supplies
Stamps: Googly Ghouls by Stampin' Up
Paper: SU black, Tangerine Tangoe and Very Vanilla card stock and SU Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP
Ink: SU Basic Black
Other: SU black brad, SU Two Tags Bigz die, SU Googly Eyes, SU circle and scalloped circle punches, yellow Stickles, the Big Shot, and dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by all. I hope you're having a great weekend.
