Happy Birthday 2 You! My First Post As A Guest Designer for The Paper Players

Hello and Happy New Year,

I'm thrilled to be posting my first card as one of the new Guest Designers for The Paper Players. It's such an honor to have been asked by the ladies to join as a Guest Designer for the first half of 2016 and I'm excited to get started.

Joanne kicks off 2016 with a theme challenge, "All About Numbers."

We have been seeing some really pretty layered flower cards on blogs in recent months, and I've been wanting to try making one. While looking through my stamps, I found some from My Favorite Things that I knew would work for this technique.

I started by stamping the flower in the lower left corner first, stamping and masking my way up to the upper right corner. The flowers and leaves are stamped in Memento tuxedo black and colored wth Copics. The sentiments are stamped in SU Archival black ink. I trimmed the panel then raised it with fun foam over a white card with a piece of black and white gingham patterned paper. It's finished with some small flower sequin. I'm pleased with way it turned out, and I mailed it to my friend whose birthday was Christmas Eve.

Here are the links to the other members of the Design Team. You'll find some wonderful inspiration when you stop by.
