A perfect use of Jaydee's colors for this week's <a href="https://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2024/03/pp680-color-challenge-from-jaydee.html">Paper Players Challenge.</a> The colors for the monthly color challenge are green, pink, yellow, black and white. </p><p>My card has a black and white stenciled background. All but two of the tulips are cut from white card stock and colored using blending brushes. The two darker pink tulips were cut from Pretty In Pink card stock and then ink blended.</p><p>I hardly ever use ribbon on my cards these days, but this one called for it. I used a piece of light pink ribbon that was on my desk from a recent shipment of Lawn Fawn goodies. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWc-2us45Cb9zAk8X-tcRoKWDB03OmF0ux45_pOt42n4Ud6NuNsiP2xZ0RI8u28iBpkVtJ8w7ykqwyZSHhCjvCQtqB2ihwnDa29bY91NlU6lbq8barQu1JfLOzRZrGAR9WzfoUZKD9SIXiEUMGyOloVU3r4spvOcgnIGeWLilp58PILoBYKQQrP9UC4n8o/s2193/IMG_4425.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2193" data-original-width="1761" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWc-2us45Cb9zAk8X-tcRoKWDB03OmF0ux45_pOt42n4Ud6NuNsiP2xZ0RI8u28iBpkVtJ8w7ykqwyZSHhCjvCQtqB2ihwnDa29bY91NlU6lbq8barQu1JfLOzRZrGAR9WzfoUZKD9SIXiEUMGyOloVU3r4spvOcgnIGeWLilp58PILoBYKQQrP9UC4n8o/w514-h640/IMG_4425.jpg" width="514" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjBqh1whWI3D5OPYzJlf2of6V35HgdCkfYAOvOoUaLtb8OQ3oNrWPAKsUch78K7o29eSrlrh7DTVMIZiKW1oPIUk08G2A2RrlN6s5PTxEreTyCqY8_WJoJHc5R5fZAhSdQM_npYyhqimw5Wdwtmgv2GAmOrSzRxGXSSCRvN3_iaBGQ708uCEW3RYbzGXxQ/s320/pp680.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="301" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjBqh1whWI3D5OPYzJlf2of6V35HgdCkfYAOvOoUaLtb8OQ3oNrWPAKsUch78K7o29eSrlrh7DTVMIZiKW1oPIUk08G2A2RrlN6s5PTxEreTyCqY8_WJoJHc5R5fZAhSdQM_npYyhqimw5Wdwtmgv2GAmOrSzRxGXSSCRvN3_iaBGQ708uCEW3RYbzGXxQ/w188-h200/pp680.png" width="188" /></a></div><br /><p>Here's the inside:</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_GUYS15-prnixPxRK4Uy_Aep7Rc0ByUYvkBv6oVYMeF2He0MZmkdQpE1tCts15aGlJs5eA9eoong8TBy2I3AD_bPBK-Lqp5Q3bfStjBbQo0IxLn1xv2Vzuc3HDBzMvIiKuaRvw2x2Q8UIMH3rueMNztcPWBDdrmfmwK4dS5K293nGMduATCy3vOff-4y1/s1840/IMG_4427.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1840" data-original-width="1485" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_GUYS15-prnixPxRK4Uy_Aep7Rc0ByUYvkBv6oVYMeF2He0MZmkdQpE1tCts15aGlJs5eA9eoong8TBy2I3AD_bPBK-Lqp5Q3bfStjBbQo0IxLn1xv2Vzuc3HDBzMvIiKuaRvw2x2Q8UIMH3rueMNztcPWBDdrmfmwK4dS5K293nGMduATCy3vOff-4y1/w516-h640/IMG_4427.jpg" width="516" /></a></div><br /><p>The stencils, stamps and dies are all from Spellbinders March clubs.</p><div style="text-align: left;">Thanks all,</div><div style="text-align: left;">Colleen</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i>Supplies</i></div><div style="text-align: left;">Spellbinders March Club supplies:</div><div style="text-align: left;">Stamp set: Lily Arch (sentiments)</div><div style="text-align: left;">Stencil set: Spring Stencil Backgrounds</div><div style="text-align: left;">Large Die set: Floral Bunny Basket</div><div style="text-align: left;">Card Stock: Gina K Designs Layering white, SU Pretty In Pink and Pineapple Punch</div><div style="text-align: left;">Ink: Simon Says Stamp Pawsitivity Artichoke, Field, Fairway, Sunbeam, Lemonade, Bubblegum, and Sweets, Gina K Designs Black Onyx</div><div style="text-align: left;">Other: Misti, Big Shot, blending brushes, Concord & 9th pink enamel dots, SU Dimensionals, Connect glue, pink ribbon</div>Colleen Begleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10475258817613372871noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-436098740635371196.post-63537387180313615392024-03-10T11:20:00.000-07:002024-03-10T11:20:52.110-07:00You're the Bee's Knees<p> Hello,</p><p>Here's my card for this week's <a href="https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2024/03/freshly-made-sketches-626.html">Freshly Made Sketch.</a> I had a hard time with this layout, for whatever reason LOL. I actually made two cards while playing around with the sketch and I ended up choosing this first one because to me it fits with the clean lines for the FMS challenge better than the other card I made.</p><p>For this card I did a bit of ink smooching with honey and yellow inks. The bee skep is a die from the SU Honey Bee set cut from the DSP that was part of that suite. The stamped images are from the Bee Yourself set from Simon.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhN3AmZ9ku9dvRgIYtiiRxN4P60KSblibck9PvAY33q9PsJi6ojVZ4eOCZrsBEFaWmuP89s_x6akYejrCNqpoY01ebZWn2dC56g86US2snJaUUCt0N4Ms7Y_N6yU2COsVMS2WixK-b3J4sIQFNhj2fHfYei8Q0nNl8eCPrSm4P3OM_S4X3wq-4zlTOEQ3VW/s1630/IMG_4407.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1630" data-original-width="1572" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhN3AmZ9ku9dvRgIYtiiRxN4P60KSblibck9PvAY33q9PsJi6ojVZ4eOCZrsBEFaWmuP89s_x6akYejrCNqpoY01ebZWn2dC56g86US2snJaUUCt0N4Ms7Y_N6yU2COsVMS2WixK-b3J4sIQFNhj2fHfYei8Q0nNl8eCPrSm4P3OM_S4X3wq-4zlTOEQ3VW/w618-h640/IMG_4407.jpg" width="618" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2vcEftRmVakeZtfmkF1ecEcFppx2_KzqYBmg20rkdpP29mUfe50MAy41zWIpvuDieKbdZcB7_-Gflg1FQoMAyFXnK2cGbcteAKDXvTlWScrwwhDQNDbtNjr6kT6IsZUxisvzuUa6Qks8AzrUq_cY2WvlnBITSuyCJiQu9bhqdn2_R6R5QINlbVGE1YYfb/s400/FMS%20Final%20626-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="286" data-original-width="400" height="143" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2vcEftRmVakeZtfmkF1ecEcFppx2_KzqYBmg20rkdpP29mUfe50MAy41zWIpvuDieKbdZcB7_-Gflg1FQoMAyFXnK2cGbcteAKDXvTlWScrwwhDQNDbtNjr6kT6IsZUxisvzuUa6Qks8AzrUq_cY2WvlnBITSuyCJiQu9bhqdn2_R6R5QINlbVGE1YYfb/w200-h143/FMS%20Final%20626-001.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p>And the inside:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPyT2Sx5qM0_w49XmrzIMybkrVW4N7H0s3OeH4CBPxXxqjvNcfQqYcWPmQdv2zYcbGZ5QgQA_1iyoXWtEEEUHjxISHXb7gnJVn_GfNLsq_3vvsU0sOp4cDJhmOeyNLeRnDw2I5J2PMthi4K9po62OI0pLMGft7lWFCzWIS1-ODQJ1MYfla7JQ0fWtDsNWx/s1638/IMG_4410.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1637" data-original-width="1638" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPyT2Sx5qM0_w49XmrzIMybkrVW4N7H0s3OeH4CBPxXxqjvNcfQqYcWPmQdv2zYcbGZ5QgQA_1iyoXWtEEEUHjxISHXb7gnJVn_GfNLsq_3vvsU0sOp4cDJhmOeyNLeRnDw2I5J2PMthi4K9po62OI0pLMGft7lWFCzWIS1-ODQJ1MYfla7JQ0fWtDsNWx/w640-h640/IMG_4410.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>This is the other card I made using SU papers, stamps and dies from the Dino Days bundle.</p><p>Front:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWzY2qZkMewJeofiNf0c34AzvZlP6napZo_sGFDLxGcuMWTjTv4P1fHTevBKgnQHUa9p3ZC0XEWV1zXLCnpM64KQ_FD5mE-6BYcv5uIw8FMmlNjzYd8KHtYOidwvGC5tBKrV-Y5KqvSnlCs4Tvo44eucEFvpr36eJ4hA2Z__JJaurzteRMmYoQFPSdf8pd/s1736/IMG_4413.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1736" data-original-width="1733" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWzY2qZkMewJeofiNf0c34AzvZlP6napZo_sGFDLxGcuMWTjTv4P1fHTevBKgnQHUa9p3ZC0XEWV1zXLCnpM64KQ_FD5mE-6BYcv5uIw8FMmlNjzYd8KHtYOidwvGC5tBKrV-Y5KqvSnlCs4Tvo44eucEFvpr36eJ4hA2Z__JJaurzteRMmYoQFPSdf8pd/w638-h640/IMG_4413.jpg" width="638" /></a></div><br /><p>Inside:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBkr2zbrSdE6B6ijWaVn4_d15CRji5SA_QsKdjNuufcLIs9Vwgn-fOwM0JfPaE60Sude0BR6mtdeDFA5ChuXzf_UeD0xmJO3HW-H148zY51VpnQFW00kk5EsPWdJrQ8UsoL6ymnipeKFKe6V4JNGJo3jIDR66rGhLRzoeOg_pIYsu3J8hpHQXrHiFKi3mx/s1704/IMG_4416.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1700" data-original-width="1704" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBkr2zbrSdE6B6ijWaVn4_d15CRji5SA_QsKdjNuufcLIs9Vwgn-fOwM0JfPaE60Sude0BR6mtdeDFA5ChuXzf_UeD0xmJO3HW-H148zY51VpnQFW00kk5EsPWdJrQ8UsoL6ymnipeKFKe6V4JNGJo3jIDR66rGhLRzoeOg_pIYsu3J8hpHQXrHiFKi3mx/w640-h638/IMG_4416.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>This card might go to my young friend Liam. Instead of using different colors I used lime for all four rotations. The stamp set has small stamps to add images to some of the shapes and I again used lime for tone on tone. For the focal image, I had to get crafty and made a four-leaf clover using a heart die because the dies in my stash are too small. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCw2w3QOcNyTBs_3IfHzvXbTSCwy_svrhFAjhSMqFUe6SnYWh55ZIESD_oy0QxiB2aK5osXuQE2OTRcGynLSfKBfWyxMbzxxsWlkMDn6aFWvAs2lzaIZzkAx70eFdO_HVB75X2F2tlYm2DBrjK6oONb83Erbvly1i9O80SWRQzG9zXhWkE2k2bPPiFN-so/s1567/IMG_4383.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1567" data-original-width="1237" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCw2w3QOcNyTBs_3IfHzvXbTSCwy_svrhFAjhSMqFUe6SnYWh55ZIESD_oy0QxiB2aK5osXuQE2OTRcGynLSfKBfWyxMbzxxsWlkMDn6aFWvAs2lzaIZzkAx70eFdO_HVB75X2F2tlYm2DBrjK6oONb83Erbvly1i9O80SWRQzG9zXhWkE2k2bPPiFN-so/w506-h640/IMG_4383.jpg" width="506" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAL6f4-uuLYr919EF-flt5rDkBphsUsNx3n1gh7Pqns-gCSV47O7-kGxP1Eno0hZoyxIf7TDPjYbH_HgwEjyDg9Yon8W5POdSLMwPX1JWC4IJz6ELDz6eAj5eX3PF63HkPKDhMkgF8CuCH671UYNwFP4RJpmntV8-wlqIEvwYoMeWebV2D21d3fsCUlzir/s320/ColorWeek717.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="250" data-original-width="320" height="156" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAL6f4-uuLYr919EF-flt5rDkBphsUsNx3n1gh7Pqns-gCSV47O7-kGxP1Eno0hZoyxIf7TDPjYbH_HgwEjyDg9Yon8W5POdSLMwPX1JWC4IJz6ELDz6eAj5eX3PF63HkPKDhMkgF8CuCH671UYNwFP4RJpmntV8-wlqIEvwYoMeWebV2D21d3fsCUlzir/w200-h156/ColorWeek717.png" width="200" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZzMdBnttLI2uSA6bhB-9VbqlG2XUZGMcDgfdKtyIisgh9h87GznzNiIRZKwCf4gA0qQDIEBYEpmkhysNwQn0BdY3O4fu8wLpJB3DOEviIitnGC0PTYPJgWBv5wCm8qXvp-sC1wOZQ_4wR7e7nZDsP3F2v-fQ-4t3Dfp2Fwy1wjEotk9dY6zwj358h8WzD/s400/IB279-1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="400" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZzMdBnttLI2uSA6bhB-9VbqlG2XUZGMcDgfdKtyIisgh9h87GznzNiIRZKwCf4gA0qQDIEBYEpmkhysNwQn0BdY3O4fu8wLpJB3DOEviIitnGC0PTYPJgWBv5wCm8qXvp-sC1wOZQ_4wR7e7nZDsP3F2v-fQ-4t3Dfp2Fwy1wjEotk9dY6zwj358h8WzD/w200-h200/IB279-1.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div>Here's the inside of the card. This month it's about the "magic" of melting embossing powder. Who doesn't think it's magic? I thought I'd pair embossing magic with fairy magic with the Hero Fairy Kisses stamp set.<br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKFfSQ5y-9X6E2F9lWKn1YqyCx-8UO9HI1BCH5oNkLA_sbXK4HWaNRt7vA6LcLE92nnNzgyUV0z7O90PlSjGYpYvrorwaSE26mBrr08W-XkibJwDJ6qC7Tnhu7WC1ChLWKZR-mJbLicDI6dXntws4ADd6LSKyswrBsGeVQi91uh3HtXA4flcDJXMyP37Cg/s1686/IMG_4400.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1686" data-original-width="1321" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKFfSQ5y-9X6E2F9lWKn1YqyCx-8UO9HI1BCH5oNkLA_sbXK4HWaNRt7vA6LcLE92nnNzgyUV0z7O90PlSjGYpYvrorwaSE26mBrr08W-XkibJwDJ6qC7Tnhu7WC1ChLWKZR-mJbLicDI6dXntws4ADd6LSKyswrBsGeVQi91uh3HtXA4flcDJXMyP37Cg/w502-h640/IMG_4400.jpg" width="502" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzcqk4axvMccoQzuCIM3rh283wLDc04K3tRtN43sBcff4Hcu0i6QZyibkauqeLvqIn7eBgNCbv9qJBEw-xEmjAA1iD4TZfF1hJnV4HI5chDwhYclt7BS9jQmi8t8zWwOP8llabIrsX7rBIldCW4mc9oMfYYFmWHGEBbXjpgZ0sIb_rV6UYbzKvStvfbSmp/s640/Mar_StayCrafty_IGjpg_640x_crop_center.webp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzcqk4axvMccoQzuCIM3rh283wLDc04K3tRtN43sBcff4Hcu0i6QZyibkauqeLvqIn7eBgNCbv9qJBEw-xEmjAA1iD4TZfF1hJnV4HI5chDwhYclt7BS9jQmi8t8zWwOP8llabIrsX7rBIldCW4mc9oMfYYFmWHGEBbXjpgZ0sIb_rV6UYbzKvStvfbSmp/w200-h200/Mar_StayCrafty_IGjpg_640x_crop_center.webp" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p>In addition to the Fairy Kisses set, I also used the July 2021 My Monthly Hero set, the Meadow Heroscape set and the Mushroom Forest die to complete my card. Rainbow color! Claire is hostess for this week's theme challenge for the <a href="https://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2024/03/pp679-theme-challenge-from-claire.html">Paper Players</a> and the theme is Rainy Days. I took my inspiration from the rainbow image in the photo to make my card.</p><p>This is an easel card, which is why the top isn't laying flat in the photo. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoF7wUxhi5IcfvTy9K-MBikbIt6N1H-givaPNEI9O25g8w-CvuGK1_cX451JWNfySGtDbIqUTt2q_EFJ-5UzZGmdESwW3pPY1WMSaBrTHmgbaMq4AQuH-irFZc6KKB4-N27A0VIQvoyLfv3Z2at5LW7gO-Iv_0JrI2FJkee43N6HJ-B14NhQr_TtODokDU/s1934/IMG_4376.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1934" data-original-width="1889" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoF7wUxhi5IcfvTy9K-MBikbIt6N1H-givaPNEI9O25g8w-CvuGK1_cX451JWNfySGtDbIqUTt2q_EFJ-5UzZGmdESwW3pPY1WMSaBrTHmgbaMq4AQuH-irFZc6KKB4-N27A0VIQvoyLfv3Z2at5LW7gO-Iv_0JrI2FJkee43N6HJ-B14NhQr_TtODokDU/w626-h640/IMG_4376.jpg" width="626" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHNdqmcqon2heQz-a6Xmx5MYqRD_qCAOwYL-LLtftUJPGPlGSu2gobKEWZ46vKeDGLRMq9zhRHDCdXae1WioZelOvf21ZsVz6fHKRteU-iRokSlrLj74YVxKMBiWF80XPaSwhjKT-33l5wdCjNj4fPtOx340vK-PiceH14sbA6T05jZts2-S-zeQ1VCrRp/s320/pp679.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="301" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHNdqmcqon2heQz-a6Xmx5MYqRD_qCAOwYL-LLtftUJPGPlGSu2gobKEWZ46vKeDGLRMq9zhRHDCdXae1WioZelOvf21ZsVz6fHKRteU-iRokSlrLj74YVxKMBiWF80XPaSwhjKT-33l5wdCjNj4fPtOx340vK-PiceH14sbA6T05jZts2-S-zeQ1VCrRp/w188-h200/pp679.png" width="188" /></a></div><br /><p>This is a very large stamp and die set by Erin Lee with many fun images and dies. It was a quiet one here and I spent a few hours both days in my craft room.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">This is a card that I made yesterday afternoon. I'm submitting it to two challenges. <a href="https://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/02/just-us-girls-716-case-design-team.html">Just Us Girls</a> has the "CASE the Designer" challenge this week. I don't play with these often as I get lost in the details for some reason. The second challenge is for the <a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/03/color-hues-82-turquoise-and-green.html">Color Hues</a> turquoise and green colors.</span></p><p>I decided to CASE Lisa's card. I liked the single die cut image, and I knew I had several die options I could use. Here's Lisa's very pretty card I used as inspiration.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVQMc9xkEClp6C02yB81nUivwhHF3D_WVtKqzidBpmBLcmClHKc8J0Xi9dAaI9PFPa1nLjiWmiJM-3qUWAraDa7-ZRX5q1WCQInGj4q1J0lFQL3VJBaT10MSjLY6BI_oHpb6GKlKOZFpxFDxNk26hw_Dn2hc0ozmY5gXzHEeBAj7GueUszlK_x9PaBrG95/s400/24%20%200121%20%20003%20copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="356" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVQMc9xkEClp6C02yB81nUivwhHF3D_WVtKqzidBpmBLcmClHKc8J0Xi9dAaI9PFPa1nLjiWmiJM-3qUWAraDa7-ZRX5q1WCQInGj4q1J0lFQL3VJBaT10MSjLY6BI_oHpb6GKlKOZFpxFDxNk26hw_Dn2hc0ozmY5gXzHEeBAj7GueUszlK_x9PaBrG95/w356-h400/24%20%200121%20%20003%20copy.jpg" width="356" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><p>This is how I CASED it. Instead of stamping images in the background, I used a SSS cover plate with a similar design as the large SSS flower die that I used as the focal image. I used a die cut sentiment instead of a stamped one. The green and turquoise shades of card stock are from Gina K Designs as is the hello sentiment die, and the turquoise and green pearl embellishments. The black card stock is from Erin Lee and it has a glossy black finish.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivgpGBnYCQrT20qsBtj8CuNhsUhWlJL5RtbzI35MSDDQDXEPO21YwzY8_hahSkk1KzcXo9YlsHyQ5jGg6B98bkLbMUMRQmAzqIP4t47ZODDgKclGYvojF6OJ8Ruz-FeM_1J0A10WLic_27pR44nVFYe4cuju0oDZcfFXzFGDayt8TQWX9NNm8TSlXPFouV/s2629/IMG_4360.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2629" data-original-width="2056" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivgpGBnYCQrT20qsBtj8CuNhsUhWlJL5RtbzI35MSDDQDXEPO21YwzY8_hahSkk1KzcXo9YlsHyQ5jGg6B98bkLbMUMRQmAzqIP4t47ZODDgKclGYvojF6OJ8Ruz-FeM_1J0A10WLic_27pR44nVFYe4cuju0oDZcfFXzFGDayt8TQWX9NNm8TSlXPFouV/w500-h640/IMG_4360.jpg" width="500" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLXhjYSywcIc4a2qBubKMr4tFO4qzQ1Qb5clLrPDqzWbdNrNNwflXmPW1UBzD9WPS8cMWD2vJ_dyLC_yicrU1O9ZeLggy9oaK1vqppo1wDYCUgkKb05Ode4r24D7zPXmkqtqoH12QsrQ8-HbEtzvQ96XxKFylYhx8btoscc8kqIsOBNIh3OzZIHInVT76t/s400/CH%20%2382%20Turq.%20and%20Green.001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="326" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLXhjYSywcIc4a2qBubKMr4tFO4qzQ1Qb5clLrPDqzWbdNrNNwflXmPW1UBzD9WPS8cMWD2vJ_dyLC_yicrU1O9ZeLggy9oaK1vqppo1wDYCUgkKb05Ode4r24D7zPXmkqtqoH12QsrQ8-HbEtzvQ96XxKFylYhx8btoscc8kqIsOBNIh3OzZIHInVT76t/w163-h200/CH%20%2382%20Turq.%20and%20Green.001.jpg" width="163" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhln2osNgYRce-uUy5pDCFBQrqetdg36tpaLFI9PqdAGEbhQc_m-AEjwKJrN91TKEoo6Cq7ilCCTUtX9lmqYNYZbN1c3tH3d19ijCJmwapTyWgUEZiNQasqCU2YZwa1gKGDkGebM33jDrgAEFEe_1fEGKoDzve_EOnjbNdwn9PZsaDTfQOSmHjqz5EJW67E/s320/CASEaDT716.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="205" data-original-width="320" height="128" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhln2osNgYRce-uUy5pDCFBQrqetdg36tpaLFI9PqdAGEbhQc_m-AEjwKJrN91TKEoo6Cq7ilCCTUtX9lmqYNYZbN1c3tH3d19ijCJmwapTyWgUEZiNQasqCU2YZwa1gKGDkGebM33jDrgAEFEe_1fEGKoDzve_EOnjbNdwn9PZsaDTfQOSmHjqz5EJW67E/w200-h128/CASEaDT716.png" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">There is a coordinating background stamp and I used it to stamp images in opposite corners on the inside of the card. I hear that the Tahoe area has already received 42 inches or more of snow this weekend, so a little rain is no worry.</p><p>I spent some time yesterday evening and this morning playing with the <a href="https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2024/02/freshly-made-sketches-625-sketch-by-jen.html">Freshly Made Sketch</a> for this week and made two cards.</p><p>This first one uses all Stampin' Up supplies. I bought this suite when it first came out, but I haven't really done much with it. While looking through my DSP stash, I landed on this paper, and so that's where this card's inspiration started. Instead of using just the coordinating stamp set for everything, I pulled out the Circle Sayings set for the focal circle images.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAV2LroNVTZy4qLjZnwnckGCiNohgpUGjbJDSW43FWP8DjMqMclsuo3vwv7Hy0Z9rs32Isr8e2jPdz856A95mDezPNr0U2EdyprVkdznCaFKm5dU1HVgYLvnLHkXjTQpHBy-Cj0T6KjaHd8rJSKlg9HUIMstsvlfrZPqsV_F7t7vtBLerRIz9pdeFu5ySQ/s2327/IMG_4332.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2327" data-original-width="1883" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAV2LroNVTZy4qLjZnwnckGCiNohgpUGjbJDSW43FWP8DjMqMclsuo3vwv7Hy0Z9rs32Isr8e2jPdz856A95mDezPNr0U2EdyprVkdznCaFKm5dU1HVgYLvnLHkXjTQpHBy-Cj0T6KjaHd8rJSKlg9HUIMstsvlfrZPqsV_F7t7vtBLerRIz9pdeFu5ySQ/w518-h640/IMG_4332.jpg" width="518" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimqZzw5a4m5r5zmJ0t88UrcOyjMi4ttjVymWD794mhtomwJWfBwCl_QihmcO0dYuyvHdDuilYwFLwpJE_JV6_o6cIFotQE-QB2sMzovKdN5PuZKss3Gzl0-AmvL6m0nKnJGWlPICPb7XfuZew4rXNcSVsqZ32vg1xCIW4eLn9tyj247p7xObytodXWtux2/s400/FMS%20Final%20625-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="286" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimqZzw5a4m5r5zmJ0t88UrcOyjMi4ttjVymWD794mhtomwJWfBwCl_QihmcO0dYuyvHdDuilYwFLwpJE_JV6_o6cIFotQE-QB2sMzovKdN5PuZKss3Gzl0-AmvL6m0nKnJGWlPICPb7XfuZew4rXNcSVsqZ32vg1xCIW4eLn9tyj247p7xObytodXWtux2/w143-h200/FMS%20Final%20625-001.jpg" width="143" /></a></div><br /><p>For the inside of this card, I added a border die and left the center blank to write a note.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO7K6R0U0ZHbNIfnWT8lvaku3oJ3ZM6PXrpSuJ-jGSkPunLXl4tdFwnc_ugcpgxvDjdEaWWjUPfuQrsOs-60xEQwev9FtQyWtrCNOC-TbQea2I8xbXsgvV4oOPAhuT9EgIdtTfwXnJ2f-fkklAu6zzrPsYbdtriXLb70mgCL7AwUERuG9j0lFJA7TG5S-D/s2226/IMG_4333.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2226" data-original-width="1881" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO7K6R0U0ZHbNIfnWT8lvaku3oJ3ZM6PXrpSuJ-jGSkPunLXl4tdFwnc_ugcpgxvDjdEaWWjUPfuQrsOs-60xEQwev9FtQyWtrCNOC-TbQea2I8xbXsgvV4oOPAhuT9EgIdtTfwXnJ2f-fkklAu6zzrPsYbdtriXLb70mgCL7AwUERuG9j0lFJA7TG5S-D/w540-h640/IMG_4333.jpg" width="540" /></a></div><br /><p>Card two uses Concord & 9th supplies for the focal images and greeting. Since yesterday was the last Wednesday of the month, it's time for the February edition of <a href="https://www.craftee1.com/2024/02/28/february-edition-guest-designer-woodblock-wednesday/">Woodblock Wednesday.</a> I still have many wood mounted rubber stamps and this challenge <strike>makes me</strike> gives me a chance to use them.</p><p>For this month's card, I pulled out some very old SU DSP to go along with my old stamps for this birthday card. After I finished, I realized that the colors in the papers work well for this week's <a href="https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2024/02/color-throwdown-challenge-782.html">Color Throwdown Challenge</a>. The colors this week are sage, burgundy and rose.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzkJ3In6ylzxyMwqtJbqqrcdOBxIxV5iAk2jhYNZPPA-ckFV4_D3B86FiXth4-z0QmuVOFChOjeVEeqaDxuTObBEpLvE9qYoXOk4OD_Gr7u3ff9hj6FB7MEqYfSrFKpgxLs7h9Ucj98ivYf95nZzqojU-hElhKxEtbVg0LjrVsaX4krjeZwXjbFu5NEUyF/s1907/IMG_4321.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1633" data-original-width="1907" height="548" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzkJ3In6ylzxyMwqtJbqqrcdOBxIxV5iAk2jhYNZPPA-ckFV4_D3B86FiXth4-z0QmuVOFChOjeVEeqaDxuTObBEpLvE9qYoXOk4OD_Gr7u3ff9hj6FB7MEqYfSrFKpgxLs7h9Ucj98ivYf95nZzqojU-hElhKxEtbVg0LjrVsaX4krjeZwXjbFu5NEUyF/w640-h548/IMG_4321.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQT5OdRUIdKVOskm_BNGNdf8kRNV6vrsceIgO5WajRDeFonQaiMcD-JEXs-4-_81vhkfR_Kkk-hGY8q76OqRG1rF5m3Yhu-cYb_maBcdbV2t5EftlSjfXtrDvJBO2I1Nx4GWSGRbEhP2v-VFuVAoSjLbAJVlYUGYTTeyt71eMqYMuqGfhMULKc-fRgKFci/s400/782%20burgundy,%20rose,%20sage%20022824.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="400" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQT5OdRUIdKVOskm_BNGNdf8kRNV6vrsceIgO5WajRDeFonQaiMcD-JEXs-4-_81vhkfR_Kkk-hGY8q76OqRG1rF5m3Yhu-cYb_maBcdbV2t5EftlSjfXtrDvJBO2I1Nx4GWSGRbEhP2v-VFuVAoSjLbAJVlYUGYTTeyt71eMqYMuqGfhMULKc-fRgKFci/w200-h200/782%20burgundy,%20rose,%20sage%20022824.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9mdSpuloyh26_WIjI_XFuD_-Wcc4yaTtPK051H3_ujbdzTTuPvMtc2Y5VvIMlnGLmllNX9XJTZMAoAp4GD6tXj9q6zMJGZdv6TUpgdRBApHi_uPFOvMvBn5tFEMyM3Hf-b54TLVdRsevX1GaHamIclwe1yKbhiY6GTakcQ6DAkLTADi2hgvCwgdG_XSAi/s480/featured-woodblock-Wednesday-graphic-copy-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="480" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9mdSpuloyh26_WIjI_XFuD_-Wcc4yaTtPK051H3_ujbdzTTuPvMtc2Y5VvIMlnGLmllNX9XJTZMAoAp4GD6tXj9q6zMJGZdv6TUpgdRBApHi_uPFOvMvBn5tFEMyM3Hf-b54TLVdRsevX1GaHamIclwe1yKbhiY6GTakcQ6DAkLTADi2hgvCwgdG_XSAi/w200-h200/featured-woodblock-Wednesday-graphic-copy-1.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The tea cups stamp is from Stampendous, circa 1998. It has lots of layers and I took the opportunity to use up some stashed patterned papers.</p><p>I hadn't used this new Sale-a-bration set, Jungle Pals, yet and I decided I wanted to use it for my card. When looking through my SU DSP I found the Animal Expedition papers and voila, a perfect paring. In addition to the stamp set, I used some of the coordinating Jungle Pals dies, a Sale-a-bration option as well. These I cut from white card stock and ink blended the colors. The centers of the flowers are sparkly, light yellow enamel dots from SU.</p><p>The background is created using a Spellbinders embossing folder and lightly rubbing an ink pad over the raised areas. In this case, I used Gina K Designs Key Lime ink.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH5jL5Qbg8qP4G_d_tOzMa8OogfaSxoB9tpPnUvrgGQExOG6oFO_JaVuzMEm7r6GEju0IyNcBvmspbSb7ZjDfSkYV7NH5hFIVi8Sgmz3_Tz35wly-1_UbehZecTGvFYO0wNqMqU8nubk4toLHidsKVuDnrR8DIRT4QlKXifTNWwQSJCttry4TQrAK1joB7/s2388/IMG_4304.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2388" data-original-width="1839" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH5jL5Qbg8qP4G_d_tOzMa8OogfaSxoB9tpPnUvrgGQExOG6oFO_JaVuzMEm7r6GEju0IyNcBvmspbSb7ZjDfSkYV7NH5hFIVi8Sgmz3_Tz35wly-1_UbehZecTGvFYO0wNqMqU8nubk4toLHidsKVuDnrR8DIRT4QlKXifTNWwQSJCttry4TQrAK1joB7/w492-h640/IMG_4304.jpg" width="492" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUoVDD01WI0o1_0xOiTORdDsN54iDHIzsYmnvh75BP9ZA2U8yTNygUzb5qUAkAY9HfPlnDNCGt-A7gR9a1K9_wVNFZQ4ObfTDXaXruv-SjjrqRrNkbHqlaOQt2eKVNB4s96cUmaQPaom_oK69D1LwXfF0h8yMY89q1cxJYlTMX9oSFY7l6etKTNySgM3Km/s400/pp678.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="300" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUoVDD01WI0o1_0xOiTORdDsN54iDHIzsYmnvh75BP9ZA2U8yTNygUzb5qUAkAY9HfPlnDNCGt-A7gR9a1K9_wVNFZQ4ObfTDXaXruv-SjjrqRrNkbHqlaOQt2eKVNB4s96cUmaQPaom_oK69D1LwXfF0h8yMY89q1cxJYlTMX9oSFY7l6etKTNySgM3Km/w150-h200/pp678.png" width="150" /></a></div><br /><p>Here's the inside of the card using more of the Animal Expedition DSP and another of the cute critter images.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3YS6rUUCGZ5Dk1t1979I9699CXdr_jHb4bEm_bKu55v7ZZN5o9b0DJIuhVEmomc17SsVJ9_bnHMOFlBg_bC7JAoQ3jbOUo-YZHXisZNS7rlQMaRV9vWG1OxTjZk4qOzoXQrelT6BoFqu93DK_O4dbboHMsb60pCn-1_fChxxvzvMXIOm9ynR38pgxZq9p/s2792/IMG_4306.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2792" data-original-width="2282" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3YS6rUUCGZ5Dk1t1979I9699CXdr_jHb4bEm_bKu55v7ZZN5o9b0DJIuhVEmomc17SsVJ9_bnHMOFlBg_bC7JAoQ3jbOUo-YZHXisZNS7rlQMaRV9vWG1OxTjZk4qOzoXQrelT6BoFqu93DK_O4dbboHMsb60pCn-1_fChxxvzvMXIOm9ynR38pgxZq9p/w524-h640/IMG_4306.jpg" width="524" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>My plans for the rest of the day are as follows: cut some batting for a quilt that I'm helping a friend make so we can send it for the quilting (the top she has finished piecing and the backing is all prepped), then I have two Congrats cards to make. Since it's almost the end of February, I played around some last night using strips with stenciled images and made two completed cards. In addition to posting these to the GKD FB group, I'm also playing along with the Anything Goes Stenciling challenge at <a href="https://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2024/02/just-us-girls-challenge-715-anything.html">Just Us Girls.</a></p><p><br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWGJzcknrWdEcaesLXWqBFEpcImRgaTP5EQhHOaKbW1QDyUiFAonW7kLnWEwLetosV4Zi6KC6DhEanDaYRkzfzoVDYYkQEykd8KpOfHU-PSjt9U1UCH-xpD1_7ePDhWSsbIMVjlG79aLOfXQwGNU5xGPx13catl6SUsJ8O8IU_nqyzy-pe0koSERGT46zh/s2601/IMG_4279.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2002" data-original-width="2601" height="492" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWGJzcknrWdEcaesLXWqBFEpcImRgaTP5EQhHOaKbW1QDyUiFAonW7kLnWEwLetosV4Zi6KC6DhEanDaYRkzfzoVDYYkQEykd8KpOfHU-PSjt9U1UCH-xpD1_7ePDhWSsbIMVjlG79aLOfXQwGNU5xGPx13catl6SUsJ8O8IU_nqyzy-pe0koSERGT46zh/w640-h492/IMG_4279.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjNuSbUlyTx0zwB1QGGoh46zhdczTgCUEF-eUixu-nFqSl0NwMPCXd3y80yFtv2D0Du0Ljo6R-_SPm_5LPypfSt05EjD7UyBEWFo2gmz2UzoXzvVzsn93cFPChxb4bQ3-64Lw3GS_E_A2HdEHg5Md9m73hG86uoLADfZny7_0JK-CkdbzdLhNfE6gAWKiQ/s320/StencilWeek715.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="239" data-original-width="320" height="149" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjNuSbUlyTx0zwB1QGGoh46zhdczTgCUEF-eUixu-nFqSl0NwMPCXd3y80yFtv2D0Du0Ljo6R-_SPm_5LPypfSt05EjD7UyBEWFo2gmz2UzoXzvVzsn93cFPChxb4bQ3-64Lw3GS_E_A2HdEHg5Md9m73hG86uoLADfZny7_0JK-CkdbzdLhNfE6gAWKiQ/w200-h149/StencilWeek715.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><br /></p><p>The first stencil and strips combination that I tried was the blue mandala snowflake. Using one of the dies from ML 8, I cut strips from Gina K.'s teal card stock shades. I used the die because I wanted the strips to be the same width and using the die ensured that they are. After gluing all of the strips to a 2.25 x 5.5 inch panel, I placed the mandala stencil over it and used a sponge dauber to apply white craft ink . I put this aside to dry and placed the stencil centered over a white card base and used a blending brush to blend Soft Stone ink over the stencil. I glued the strip panel over the center matching the pattern. The sentiment is heat embossed with white EP and cut out with a small stitched circle die from ML 7 and layered to it's shadow die cut from white. Finally I added many Frozen rhinestones around the mandala image to complete the card.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj1EhYDatUOhDfpKlsvvTYyFtP58Maemc0K5CFDE_AsDhvL6G8gPZGmOG8241pdZAr1D2B8RTmpT2wtcA3DCLGow7yeG8fPdqavV15cZ4S4mTbPFO0vK9g0pN6rZl4UIDIMGWNzig7V8a3Dtqc3qfs48Cl2Xk906PlKH75G28bDLa2NlZ5_fpakcldpuhH/s2143/IMG_4283.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2143" data-original-width="1720" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj1EhYDatUOhDfpKlsvvTYyFtP58Maemc0K5CFDE_AsDhvL6G8gPZGmOG8241pdZAr1D2B8RTmpT2wtcA3DCLGow7yeG8fPdqavV15cZ4S4mTbPFO0vK9g0pN6rZl4UIDIMGWNzig7V8a3Dtqc3qfs48Cl2Xk906PlKH75G28bDLa2NlZ5_fpakcldpuhH/w514-h640/IMG_4283.jpg" width="514" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>For the second card I followed the same process, but I wanted to see if I could make it work with a layering stencil. I choose the GKD Sunflower Layering stencil and used shades of yellow for the strips. For the stenciling on the white card base I used a very light shade of yellow. For stenciling on the strips I used white craft ink for the first layer and a medium yellow shade for the second layer. Again, the sentiment is heat embossed with white EP and cut out using the circle dies from ML 3. For embellishing this card I used yellow pearls from GKD.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHIZneaOwvuPqtPP0HKpe1fOsiLzAUUnezWS85TN2GE0Mlswv1Du2w0Jk-E_AhCTsLc5UJ0PbBK4F7fUV2JsnCKzisHfCkYC2aFezke0F1myY3Y6H50Ny06PZdrAIoKETQH3yJiPeJjS3Tc_UwWAyo2vD2Rxk7sEBy2YAUVkt8WbcDETmhwJDA9t_FLnJ9/s2225/IMG_4281.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2225" data-original-width="1752" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHIZneaOwvuPqtPP0HKpe1fOsiLzAUUnezWS85TN2GE0Mlswv1Du2w0Jk-E_AhCTsLc5UJ0PbBK4F7fUV2JsnCKzisHfCkYC2aFezke0F1myY3Y6H50Ny06PZdrAIoKETQH3yJiPeJjS3Tc_UwWAyo2vD2Rxk7sEBy2YAUVkt8WbcDETmhwJDA9t_FLnJ9/w504-h640/IMG_4281.jpg" width="504" /></a></div><br /><p>This is such a fun process, and results in some very pretty note cards. </p><div style="text-align: left;">Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and thanks for looking in.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Colleen</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i>Supplies</i></div><div style="text-align: left;">All from Gina K Designs</div><div style="text-align: left;">Stamps: Fancy Flowers Mini and Filled With Sunshine Mini sets</div><div style="text-align: left;">Paper: Layering Weight white, Black Onyx, Tranquil Teal, Turquoise Sea, Sea Glass, Ocean Mist, Lemon Drop, Sweet Corn, Prickly Pear, Honey Mustard, and Wild Dandelion card stock</div><div style="text-align: left;">Ink: White Craft, Soft Stone, Lemon Drop, Prickly Pear</div><div style="text-align: left;">Stencils: Snowflake Mandala and Sunflower Layering</div><div style="text-align: left;">Other: Frozen rhinestones, Rainbow Pearl mix, Connect Glue, Blending Brushes, Sponge Dauber, Fine Detail White embossing powder, Master Layouts 8, 3, 7</div>Colleen Begleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10475258817613372871noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-436098740635371196.post-66348835742578893612024-02-24T11:15:00.000-08:002024-02-24T11:15:33.392-08:00Happy Easter<p> Hello and Happy Saturday,</p><p>Today I'm sharing an Easter card, the first I've made for this year's holiday. I used all C & 9th inks, most are from the recent color release for 2024.</p><p>Since this is all stenciled except a few stamped embellishments on the pots and the stamped greetings, it was a very quick and simple card to make. I did cut the panel down using the Hero Rounded Corner Infinity Rectangle dies and mounted it to a white card base. I have cousins, aunts and my mom with birthdays next month so I needed to get started with some cards. Using some very pretty SU DSP and the current sketch from the <a href="https://sundaystamps.blogspot.com/2024/02/ssc328-going-in-circles.html">Sunday Stamps Challenge</a>, I got a start with two. </p><p>Both are the same design, per the sketch, with just some subtle differences.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjIgSvZdHOf0-uTtlnjQFNQzCG60nTtB_mEhw6Yrt0UrKltHcF7MkT1Kgj_hFvyIr1wg8fznX1HEF73tDx85Mkygy5Nkl6EsTlIL1cMO5iA773RawKsfZWoqw4ETGOoonnO5OYU-4t47i6pzDLTG1CPhZAG_9qmLW6fS6To07vh3NQI8Y6Bsw7imbb2dBJ/s2529/IMG_4235.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1944" data-original-width="2529" height="492" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjIgSvZdHOf0-uTtlnjQFNQzCG60nTtB_mEhw6Yrt0UrKltHcF7MkT1Kgj_hFvyIr1wg8fznX1HEF73tDx85Mkygy5Nkl6EsTlIL1cMO5iA773RawKsfZWoqw4ETGOoonnO5OYU-4t47i6pzDLTG1CPhZAG_9qmLW6fS6To07vh3NQI8Y6Bsw7imbb2dBJ/w640-h492/IMG_4235.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNTfKtIyHxFFRsaXKrsHPh0afGBJoRAfhtlckQFmiPAi6TPETJNvm0tJOocu-VUvQHd82JbihWJh0WItSKbfzM0WQ_ka3yAmMcc4wMslcvQSQB6LqYJeBCQ1VXy03jKoBwaKxlg_HXlE3PKiC5W3BFdxKWUjqEkLaOIoVhaKqBIqM5Tp5ml3cH5cTv38_4/s400/SSC328.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="309" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNTfKtIyHxFFRsaXKrsHPh0afGBJoRAfhtlckQFmiPAi6TPETJNvm0tJOocu-VUvQHd82JbihWJh0WItSKbfzM0WQ_ka3yAmMcc4wMslcvQSQB6LqYJeBCQ1VXy03jKoBwaKxlg_HXlE3PKiC5W3BFdxKWUjqEkLaOIoVhaKqBIqM5Tp5ml3cH5cTv38_4/w154-h200/SSC328.jpg" width="154" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>The differences are just in the embossed card fronts, the sentiments and the enamel dots. They are delightful young women, who will be turning 23. Mom, their older sister and the twins all <b>LOVE</b> pink, so LeAnne's colors for this week's <a href="https://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2024/02/pp676-color-challenge-from-leanne.html">Paper Players Challenge</a> is very timely to make them birthday cards.</p><p>Their names are Bella and Cara. They both graduated from college last year, are back living with mom while beginning their careers. They are super fun to visit with and are two of the most polite and nice young women. Bella loves flowers, she does flower arranging for friends weddings and other special events and Cara is into surf photography. Cara recently returned from Mexico where she was a photographer for a line of women's surf wear. I thought about these interests while designing their birthday cards.</p><p>For Bella's card I used a Simon Says Stamp cover plate and die set called Fab Floral. The silver looking flowers are actually cut from Smoky Slate card stock then I put a layer of sparkly Glossy Accents over the die cut. After they dried, I added a small dark pink rhinestone to the centers. The deckle circle dies in the center are SU and the Happy Birthday wax seal is from Spellbinders. (FYI, this card is CASED from Jennifer McGuire.)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5p5WCc4FvVihm5Qfl1x1YikSYZ-bIK5jMnamzn6iqNRTLf9Bf1fa0SrUedDt3p9zQlm0FI-WFC0VE0Mdj-fRk-T4dxjGvut125Gva_FY4vEa1mtKVWp6AA7TAAyXS34LPVl9ju0Wy6ONRzIAA6jAZBEJ4ybQQ_EKyycec5IVj_U_OXZc9n_r0EanPFM8L/s2214/IMG_4222.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2214" data-original-width="1739" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5p5WCc4FvVihm5Qfl1x1YikSYZ-bIK5jMnamzn6iqNRTLf9Bf1fa0SrUedDt3p9zQlm0FI-WFC0VE0Mdj-fRk-T4dxjGvut125Gva_FY4vEa1mtKVWp6AA7TAAyXS34LPVl9ju0Wy6ONRzIAA6jAZBEJ4ybQQ_EKyycec5IVj_U_OXZc9n_r0EanPFM8L/w502-h640/IMG_4222.jpg" width="502" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGIXU0pJx3VDptOu7MkiBWl5Kbgu_Xdo-r1fDfju1XzblZc5YZJeaZZWLnJgcGC6X3vO6mYokMJTHv5rkiWp9FxxDMBkfryJ0vKZNRsVyoFIvDGB5_jfoIGHzUYk4rG1OnjXGcK5zv1Hj9_v3D2WqF0LB-SxiFJkVTBHyelPRIulJpEYrx6TMu00ZQ6lEf/s320/pp676.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="301" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGIXU0pJx3VDptOu7MkiBWl5Kbgu_Xdo-r1fDfju1XzblZc5YZJeaZZWLnJgcGC6X3vO6mYokMJTHv5rkiWp9FxxDMBkfryJ0vKZNRsVyoFIvDGB5_jfoIGHzUYk4rG1OnjXGcK5zv1Hj9_v3D2WqF0LB-SxiFJkVTBHyelPRIulJpEYrx6TMu00ZQ6lEf/w188-h200/pp676.png" width="188" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Here's the inside of Bella's card. I have some plans to play and practice with wax seals, but first I waned to blog a couple of cards that I made yesterday.</p><p>I watched one of Gina K.'s YouTube videos from last week on making bokeh backgrounds and decided to give it a try. All were fun, but one is my favorite, so I made two of them for these cards.</p><p>This first one uses the current <a href="https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2024/01/fms621-sketch-by-jen-t.html">Freshly Made Sketch</a> by Jen T. Honestly, I'm not sure that I'm thrilled with this card, but I do love the colors. There's a variety of supplies used. Spellbinders Heart Stitching die and embossing folder, Simon Says Stamp pierced heart die, Reverse Confetti XOXO die, Gina K Designs card stock and inks, Tim Holtz domed sponge ink applicators to make the background circles, and SU pearls.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisLBFC3JbSLMTWXCBy-WxYxZ5fINBr9FLni4MwFKHyk74sx2oDHC-A1ylcvKPCLwHwzQHIBrC0S5u5twlXDVYkFbx_bETjy00Bmw-2RDvsHBOBmRekXlXORRgPEimtWBLT9JGwdEUBYt_oyhETAcEXoPoJrpzRoTyv73yntUFTja0WIUbmtXaV-hVxCbBF/s1971/IMG_4199-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1864" data-original-width="1971" height="606" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisLBFC3JbSLMTWXCBy-WxYxZ5fINBr9FLni4MwFKHyk74sx2oDHC-A1ylcvKPCLwHwzQHIBrC0S5u5twlXDVYkFbx_bETjy00Bmw-2RDvsHBOBmRekXlXORRgPEimtWBLT9JGwdEUBYt_oyhETAcEXoPoJrpzRoTyv73yntUFTja0WIUbmtXaV-hVxCbBF/w640-h606/IMG_4199-1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgypEJ5OneuxrlXDePV-eQnwHy_Xqqd6BJXEiBOXdB24MOSMI3Gs8RT0fIr-WKSkLF0oVd2YOvTbzMFWzYU4P-SbqQpQFc6XIouTX2kM82eIFfl6eQmpVR3T8lzlFuE4sqNdoEuQgzN3aW92Rq5Djcnswki5hmjTpclinwHJm5uyPMzMInPIKTXSASRyUwU/s400/FMS%20Final%20621-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="286" data-original-width="400" height="143" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgypEJ5OneuxrlXDePV-eQnwHy_Xqqd6BJXEiBOXdB24MOSMI3Gs8RT0fIr-WKSkLF0oVd2YOvTbzMFWzYU4P-SbqQpQFc6XIouTX2kM82eIFfl6eQmpVR3T8lzlFuE4sqNdoEuQgzN3aW92Rq5Djcnswki5hmjTpclinwHJm5uyPMzMInPIKTXSASRyUwU/w200-h143/FMS%20Final%20621-001.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p>I love how this second card turned out with the silhouette stamping over the bokeh background, which is how Gina made her cards in the video. This stamp set is one of her older mini sets. Low key for me. I got a couple of birthday cards made and worked a couple of rows on a crochet afagan that I'm making for my great niece.</p><p>Since I'm heading back to my mom's tomorrow for the week, I got my card finished for the new <a href="https://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2024/01/pp674-sketch-challenge-from-jaydee.html">Paper Players</a> challenge this afternoon. Jaydee has the monthly sketch challenge for us this week, and there are lots of possibilities with this one. It's a large 6 x 6 inch background stamp that I'm sure is super fun to color, but I decided to use it in another way with this week's <a href="https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2024/01/freshly-made-sketches-620-sketch-by.html">Freshly Made Sketch</a> as inspiration.</p><p>My idea was to ink it with a light gray shade of ink then make a reverse circle mask for the center and stamp that with a darker color, and/or heat embossing the circle with clear or metallic embossing powders. I ended up trying both techniques, but I didn't get the desired effect of the circle standing out with either. My solution was to make a circle border for each and then continue with the rest of the cards.</p><p>On the first card card I stamped the background stamp using Soft Stone ink and then used Amalgam Black ink and clear embossing powder for the center. The flowers are from the GKD Fancy Flowers mini stamp set stamping them in the colors from this week's <a href="https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2024/01/color-throwdown-challenge-777.html">Color Throwdown Challenge</a>. The border circle is navy card stock. The centers of the flowers have GKD pearls in pink and red.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmpUvJOSJLLHrCz_F0NrQaRkJH3j-aOGPbRd5bFXlfZJU8XGF-612o3dZxGm43w2AgXo0gEpsJnD6YMhO9CKnhH1xSV4zy-NR6qt-gA86tLULFj3o0yYFi0g6ici_ShLjCZRpeSEj2TdfpuSYoOUeqWyDBLZgbDTXdl3bFunGBhNBz3tl3JEysJQumFXB-/s1980/IMG_4169.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1980" data-original-width="1556" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmpUvJOSJLLHrCz_F0NrQaRkJH3j-aOGPbRd5bFXlfZJU8XGF-612o3dZxGm43w2AgXo0gEpsJnD6YMhO9CKnhH1xSV4zy-NR6qt-gA86tLULFj3o0yYFi0g6ici_ShLjCZRpeSEj2TdfpuSYoOUeqWyDBLZgbDTXdl3bFunGBhNBz3tl3JEysJQumFXB-/w502-h640/IMG_4169.jpg" width="502" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXCQSo1JBIxaNjoglP3WMNPyvcPLggvZjbgW6QHun7PMqWJoLrIm5TbGXAyeLKdF3khx6VOFxoirow-OGOFKtU3sQyJ5G0RkOcbfm0S-Am5Ctbi_fUpAmN76NfpXj2WLAnWugbz4XwZY-WNBrJweWBuaplSb8Y3HVvI9UUpWmZsZFRey7r3zdzjcBrlle5/s400/FMS%20Final%20620-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="286" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXCQSo1JBIxaNjoglP3WMNPyvcPLggvZjbgW6QHun7PMqWJoLrIm5TbGXAyeLKdF3khx6VOFxoirow-OGOFKtU3sQyJ5G0RkOcbfm0S-Am5Ctbi_fUpAmN76NfpXj2WLAnWugbz4XwZY-WNBrJweWBuaplSb8Y3HVvI9UUpWmZsZFRey7r3zdzjcBrlle5/w143-h200/FMS%20Final%20620-001.jpg" width="143" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAFP0TlSclmqR1g6XxaF25UQcjixXuCLG8OV-dFN6jK58ieHQkgZ6qD4yQUSpwqVOqYUxSlWB85pRNNXOBi1XzVX3fhAMLoGfS6FqgFTZfvmhW4DncC0BPfkC9dswQrWeCYmOHJc4tXv3bgVQZGnxbCuSMEse4bUOyz6ELePkWqNf3jxa7n6LlsYQ6k1ye/s400/777%20red,%20navy,%20pink%20012424.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="400" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAFP0TlSclmqR1g6XxaF25UQcjixXuCLG8OV-dFN6jK58ieHQkgZ6qD4yQUSpwqVOqYUxSlWB85pRNNXOBi1XzVX3fhAMLoGfS6FqgFTZfvmhW4DncC0BPfkC9dswQrWeCYmOHJc4tXv3bgVQZGnxbCuSMEse4bUOyz6ELePkWqNf3jxa7n6LlsYQ6k1ye/w200-h200/777%20red,%20navy,%20pink%20012424.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For card two, the background is stamped with Soft Stone ink, the center circle is stamped with GKD Embossing ink and heat embossed with GKD fine detail Silver EP. This is our third day of rain, and it's the day with the most and the hardest. I believe it started around 4:00 am (PT) and is supposed to rain non-stop until 4:00 pm (PT). I'd like to go to the postoffice to drop off the sympathy cards that I've made, but I'm not sure I want to brave the streets.</p><p>So, I do have one more sympathy card, this one is for another cousin, the brother of my cousin that passed recently. I've used the Winter Trees layering stencil set from Concord & 9th and the <a href="https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2024/01/freshly-made-sketches-619-sketch-by-judy.html">Freshly Made Sketch</a> again.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9XR0P0EOsBTnnMUL0RdEeBUMBQ2zl0F73cMNkcKi0Vd1yjYOtf0qawcWOGyUYXSofxHf3l9vaxzM4IPPN2rWC7hjB8LYIBXNwQ_cBhhy6T1XCcXLmEHuZzTHZJv4KnkEMVY5M-vMT2ldalmLDaWyDLgShwbYwgjDVdJqHuWoYyhohXt6yYus7tTvAyLw5/s2322/IMG_4156-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2322" data-original-width="1960" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9XR0P0EOsBTnnMUL0RdEeBUMBQ2zl0F73cMNkcKi0Vd1yjYOtf0qawcWOGyUYXSofxHf3l9vaxzM4IPPN2rWC7hjB8LYIBXNwQ_cBhhy6T1XCcXLmEHuZzTHZJv4KnkEMVY5M-vMT2ldalmLDaWyDLgShwbYwgjDVdJqHuWoYyhohXt6yYus7tTvAyLw5/w540-h640/IMG_4156-1.jpg" width="540" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga0ZM-hWsEeJWX7Ku_ZQeZVZ5HX-v3Znlf4K4qKQgMMTQt5MrDD35HT3Kg4iQ7hDRhdajuKLeGumQ5czEUdNgVBNt7qb7LM6fUiT3ffVYMHKFe79j6afIAffIDG1X47HCpAxnISO1FDsM2ZCqn0-0xWWJQ0p18XtTGXzy8s0bKpP4lbEo9_bz5F0Zg-JHW/s400/FMS%20Final%20619-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="286" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga0ZM-hWsEeJWX7Ku_ZQeZVZ5HX-v3Znlf4K4qKQgMMTQt5MrDD35HT3Kg4iQ7hDRhdajuKLeGumQ5czEUdNgVBNt7qb7LM6fUiT3ffVYMHKFe79j6afIAffIDG1X47HCpAxnISO1FDsM2ZCqn0-0xWWJQ0p18XtTGXzy8s0bKpP4lbEo9_bz5F0Zg-JHW/w143-h200/FMS%20Final%20619-001.jpg" width="143" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I added a very simple sentiment for the inside. I pulled out an older set from Pink Fresh Studio, ink blended some snow hills on the front of this one layer card, then stamped and colored these cute forrest animals having a fun ski day.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjxYNL6v20muuHF6XLttW_jxYt2EgatN3M8ZnbLHUFtP2se7odHEgyWsXuJ1WhfNT1HhBPiDtpHI5qTknsgFxXWPyI4Y0W8_v18ZNYwv9fNzT3xuIW4E023NWv4pnCpzv_3-PAHL-krjyEK2nvBNyOX-YqazMBSHSXk5VGRz610x9yIM75uxM5FyhN1DRG/s2044/IMG_4164-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2044" data-original-width="1647" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjxYNL6v20muuHF6XLttW_jxYt2EgatN3M8ZnbLHUFtP2se7odHEgyWsXuJ1WhfNT1HhBPiDtpHI5qTknsgFxXWPyI4Y0W8_v18ZNYwv9fNzT3xuIW4E023NWv4pnCpzv_3-PAHL-krjyEK2nvBNyOX-YqazMBSHSXk5VGRz610x9yIM75uxM5FyhN1DRG/w516-h640/IMG_4164-1.jpg" width="516" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOlX5RXPJ6jg-sLgLEgpHI9H4wy7XhlTuZKlf9_mjHlFb9i9d-wsOsVuzxaZCbV-T-kBIb3MV64qcpjyuk_jaw6YaWTazrBBKqG7LnZG41h19lmRyIfiikx25JdVxxrp5T0v3hxsTEx4TH9ucNWFnzwKNPPgly6yhrXDUdvX0e2hjPc-R-Atjl_WQyk7bd/s320/image.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="301" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOlX5RXPJ6jg-sLgLEgpHI9H4wy7XhlTuZKlf9_mjHlFb9i9d-wsOsVuzxaZCbV-T-kBIb3MV64qcpjyuk_jaw6YaWTazrBBKqG7LnZG41h19lmRyIfiikx25JdVxxrp5T0v3hxsTEx4TH9ucNWFnzwKNPPgly6yhrXDUdvX0e2hjPc-R-Atjl_WQyk7bd/w188-h200/image.png" width="188" /></a></div><br /><p>To make the ski runs, I cut masks and lightly ink blended Sea Glass and Stone inks along the edges. These are usually fun to do and lend to so many creative possibilities.</p><p>One of my cousins passed recently after a short illness, and I thought this challenge would be good to make a few sympathy cards, one for his wife and one for his mom.</p><p>This first card also uses the current <a href="https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2024/01/freshly-made-sketches-619-sketch-by-judy.html">Freshly Made Sketches</a> layout, although my card is a little more layered than the usual clean designs for this challenge, but I'll post it there anyway.</p><p>All of the images used for this card are from Gina K Designs. I made a cloudy sky background for the balloon and for the strip down the side of the card using pastel rainbow shades and a cloud stencil. I wasn't going to add color to the balloon, but in the end it felt it needed some.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcA0ohUMYnAVL0zjIZYkiNQVhtGlKCN1u2ip-zgIaWL2rgoEW6ZOY0_gBgHyj0hy7sEnCstSG3NQUBIea4xQ-0ugi7D4kCIJThPcEeX-OhBJXffZioLhNBDM_9yBExjkdU6JvyvrlmLHGyohGlIG1Qyy44Fh4YcP5_w7hezeLEWW3fuQHVWgNoGEcudhOE/s2297/IMG_4149.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2297" data-original-width="1848" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcA0ohUMYnAVL0zjIZYkiNQVhtGlKCN1u2ip-zgIaWL2rgoEW6ZOY0_gBgHyj0hy7sEnCstSG3NQUBIea4xQ-0ugi7D4kCIJThPcEeX-OhBJXffZioLhNBDM_9yBExjkdU6JvyvrlmLHGyohGlIG1Qyy44Fh4YcP5_w7hezeLEWW3fuQHVWgNoGEcudhOE/w514-h640/IMG_4149.jpg" width="514" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4cYG_M8JDRGKWQEcvHwZje1K2F_czb566zw8PdIisvwCN96UsxkVL5i1E4B0aTjOhlg_HSCfmOGeOvdF5cXMOHZ58Shto2GWk4eOa2MMd7U18ea-N_GTUTEzOeIKwWzhygwgEZhN5NM6sSMQFVAtRw64o4cbEaLSeFGjRPocW34cxw-_8kVWqTyTYNhvR/s400/FMS%20Final%20619-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="286" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4cYG_M8JDRGKWQEcvHwZje1K2F_czb566zw8PdIisvwCN96UsxkVL5i1E4B0aTjOhlg_HSCfmOGeOvdF5cXMOHZ58Shto2GWk4eOa2MMd7U18ea-N_GTUTEzOeIKwWzhygwgEZhN5NM6sSMQFVAtRw64o4cbEaLSeFGjRPocW34cxw-_8kVWqTyTYNhvR/w143-h200/FMS%20Final%20619-001.jpg" width="143" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhM9MmVKOWeMhQo-zc7tGelkUIzUfkj35_4yUBbzzK38DCw2UXilfMwLXgOyaDbcYnEi-GJer84liyaZfecmgEZ-uGXaLe_ZLrOwqOKQthZB_xEFwHNSeuKZMvdJlzpZN3Sh2I4V-mQL0lWeqFiOEtRYlMiOzIDqvqs3Qoo7dXq1ZRsnjqTOOf09h9CTa8/s320/pp672.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="301" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhM9MmVKOWeMhQo-zc7tGelkUIzUfkj35_4yUBbzzK38DCw2UXilfMwLXgOyaDbcYnEi-GJer84liyaZfecmgEZ-uGXaLe_ZLrOwqOKQthZB_xEFwHNSeuKZMvdJlzpZN3Sh2I4V-mQL0lWeqFiOEtRYlMiOzIDqvqs3Qoo7dXq1ZRsnjqTOOf09h9CTa8/w188-h200/pp672.png" width="188" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p>The second card uses the Spellbinders Betterpress system and the January 2024 plate of the month. I decided to use one for Cecile's sketch and make a birthday card for my mom's birthday coming up in March. In addition to the flower, I added the March month stamp from this year's C & 9th calendar set and a birthday sentiment from another C & 9th stamp set. In fact, all of the card stock, stamps, ink and dies on the card are from Concord & 9th except the inside greetings, which are from Gina K Designs.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdTTQp56fdt14as0MEPnZGz0SdtO6Uy5P9DQV549fKECusUson6fuZv4cDPuxwv2sni1Oc4LpG3_JuydTChYkurNxtMt7okwPTMTh46ol61qNXaXWP8vQa0_O97So10wazEnFTpNeFKxqZktf2WmFN50_zYH34RQgGJfmw6I5hA4rFIG4sce_jZeWKPpEY/s2698/IMG_4122-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2698" data-original-width="2324" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdTTQp56fdt14as0MEPnZGz0SdtO6Uy5P9DQV549fKECusUson6fuZv4cDPuxwv2sni1Oc4LpG3_JuydTChYkurNxtMt7okwPTMTh46ol61qNXaXWP8vQa0_O97So10wazEnFTpNeFKxqZktf2WmFN50_zYH34RQgGJfmw6I5hA4rFIG4sce_jZeWKPpEY/w552-h640/IMG_4122-1.jpg" width="552" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7yh7i3JLhW4TTrB1f_UWrvozYHAx60UFzd184Rq3MjD7em3uDnsX8DjEpjcCjn3qYJ9ZyCBZoFDI2UMrHXMMJuY_QwdzaMBwyZFhqLFRtj9n7fMFfWsbgp_nH8VNlMTWXTlNZxkafn4E7v9p2mjqYcyyWnuKLIc0Y-56oMCWMpBNM4EFfNEjSRphtVqjx/s320/pp671.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="301" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7yh7i3JLhW4TTrB1f_UWrvozYHAx60UFzd184Rq3MjD7em3uDnsX8DjEpjcCjn3qYJ9ZyCBZoFDI2UMrHXMMJuY_QwdzaMBwyZFhqLFRtj9n7fMFfWsbgp_nH8VNlMTWXTlNZxkafn4E7v9p2mjqYcyyWnuKLIc0Y-56oMCWMpBNM4EFfNEjSRphtVqjx/w188-h200/pp671.png" width="188" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL2Rm_q7m6h3W4ybBXL5792BckWYNpnajl9r6pv5iqIPDIwAiExOMULqnYYvAko1QtEIZcrO4xHhmeHQS-E337yymh9Y5b2Nv9O0Q3TA9WHyp5WHn4eXfN6EeQko0DGKssjDvvmITNK9kQeBUq-F3d1oRmJRFQXBtQqZQjWMP8WgQ1PHAXmvfLg8Lpx6RO/s400/FMS%20Final%20618-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="286" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL2Rm_q7m6h3W4ybBXL5792BckWYNpnajl9r6pv5iqIPDIwAiExOMULqnYYvAko1QtEIZcrO4xHhmeHQS-E337yymh9Y5b2Nv9O0Q3TA9WHyp5WHn4eXfN6EeQko0DGKssjDvvmITNK9kQeBUq-F3d1oRmJRFQXBtQqZQjWMP8WgQ1PHAXmvfLg8Lpx6RO/w143-h200/FMS%20Final%20618-001.jpg" width="143" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p>As mentioned, the inside greetings below are from Gina K Designs and the die cut flower is from Concord & 9th.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKMRl2NWKAIY3xhhTLnvmt4Zy8BOm2VC99OebsIwWM3CfxaN_xki_F8CeyC45TIuKUd9CpIDE8258_pQJVu8PPJ_hoEvrJYl03-HucFVnQz77ZC2zTV7Ip9UDNyyaqqbl259XF-gkwviVLoEzGpT_D4-IAC1HWnV3NZGVbIrwJK5Sl6LSC5sBjfvpXGI24/s3007/IMG_4125.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3007" data-original-width="2590" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKMRl2NWKAIY3xhhTLnvmt4Zy8BOm2VC99OebsIwWM3CfxaN_xki_F8CeyC45TIuKUd9CpIDE8258_pQJVu8PPJ_hoEvrJYl03-HucFVnQz77ZC2zTV7Ip9UDNyyaqqbl259XF-gkwviVLoEzGpT_D4-IAC1HWnV3NZGVbIrwJK5Sl6LSC5sBjfvpXGI24/w552-h640/IMG_4125.jpg" width="552" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Enjoy the rest of the day and TGIF tomorrow!</div><div style="text-align: left;">Colleen</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i>Supplies</i></div><div style="text-align: left;">Stamps: Celebration Squad set, 2024 Calendar Stamp set by Concord & 9th and Filled With Sunshine mini set, Friendly Silhouettes set by Gina K Designs</div><div style="text-align: left;">Paper: Concord & 9th card stock</div><div style="text-align: left;">Ink: Concord & 9th inks</div><div style="text-align: left;">Other: Concord & 9th Build A Bloom, Cottage Garden, and Quilt Card Front dies, Misti, Gemin Jr, Connect glue, SU Mini dimensionals</div>Colleen Begleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10475258817613372871noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-436098740635371196.post-84355823131916981802024-01-06T12:40:00.000-08:002024-01-06T12:40:05.192-08:00Just A Note to Say<p> Hi stampers,</p><p>The <a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/color-hues-78-light-blue-and-navy.html">Color Hues</a> blog has a pretty color challenge for the new year of Navy and light blue and I thought of one of my Concord & 9th sets to use for it. I drove up a few days before Christmas, then we all drove to Bend, OR to visit my niece and her family. In addition to Christmas, my niece had a birthday on 12/26 and her daughter (my great niece) turned one on Christmas day, and my youngest nephew was 25 on 12/28. Lots to celebrate that week. <div><br /></div><div>One thing not to celebrate, my mom, my sister and I all came down with Covid the weekend after Christmas. No one else that we were with over the holiday tested positive, so I think we must have picked it up just before we left to go to Bend. All three of us are up to date with the vaccine, and we've had very mild to no symptoms other than a light cough for my mom and my sister has some fatigue. I've had no symptoms and have felt normal. I even cleaned and reorganized mom's garage this past week. It's just we are kind of limited to going out and if we have to, wearing masks, of course. This is the first Covid infection for any of us, so kind of a bummer that we finally got caught. Also, I will wait until I test negative for the recommended times before I head home so I bring it there.</div><div><br /></div><div>Luckily, my sister and I have a nice craft space here to help keep me busy. </div><div><br /></div><div>Enjoy your weekend, and Happy 2024 to all!</div><div>Colleen</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><i>Supplies</i></div><div>Stamps: Cup Of Kindness set with dies from Concord & 9th</div><div>Paper: Gina K Designs Layering Weight white and SU Basic White thick and Navy</div><div>Ink: Concord & 9th and Hero Arts</div><div>Other: Altenew embossing folder, Misti, Gina K Designs white embossing powder, heat tool, Gemini Jr, enamel dots, Connect Glue, SU foam strips</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p></div>Colleen Begleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10475258817613372871noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-436098740635371196.post-85216136554053631632023-12-14T17:30:00.000-08:002023-12-14T17:30:07.332-08:00Thank You<p>Hello peeps,</p><p>We arrived home Monday evening from our three weeks on the east coast. We had a super fun time, but as always, it's also great to be back home. It will be a short time for me however, as I'm headed to my mom's house on Wednesday. </p><p>After catching up on chores on Tuesday, I finally had some time in my craft room yesterday afternoon. I made a Thank You card to send to our hosts using two of my routine weekly card challenges. This week's <a href="https://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2023/12/pp670-color-challenge-from-claire.html">Paper Players Challenge</a> is a color challenge and I combined it with the new <a href="https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2023/12/freshly-made-sketches-616-sketch-by-amy.html">Freshly Made Sketches challenge.</a></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-C3jZ3Y3Ox0P4BZw8ZHIdgN3XLqhP_1ykdSEpzFK9kmyhtTnJV2JtkRRlmt591WS95wqRZNIbDU4DFj3GiUfVvmqKHM9E0gwhX8sRt5zH3YX8M81GmZTbMmAHFvl7AALOIzdJvt8-m1KTRYtR-RyhqkJ4eDOzp_Teu8Cg7q0E6obILeRwCkNrzEAKBsrf/s2112/IMG_3940.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2112" data-original-width="1601" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-C3jZ3Y3Ox0P4BZw8ZHIdgN3XLqhP_1ykdSEpzFK9kmyhtTnJV2JtkRRlmt591WS95wqRZNIbDU4DFj3GiUfVvmqKHM9E0gwhX8sRt5zH3YX8M81GmZTbMmAHFvl7AALOIzdJvt8-m1KTRYtR-RyhqkJ4eDOzp_Teu8Cg7q0E6obILeRwCkNrzEAKBsrf/w486-h640/IMG_3940.jpg" width="486" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwVdhVVjeOKclk1-J46oEWBUccI5dqnLtJHY9QnBHBSY1aFqEJRdywLBnT3URhX_YS13anPpb4xZI0bXOmK60e0LVdyrNO9sPm_o0CC-i03ghT2-ExvYnLpjhSu3rG-lOXwSpSCVmIwU6AeX8_ONEdbQZtOH2ckGug_Va6oG_1VgladFlUTfXof0DuafDI/s200/pp670.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="200" data-original-width="188" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwVdhVVjeOKclk1-J46oEWBUccI5dqnLtJHY9QnBHBSY1aFqEJRdywLBnT3URhX_YS13anPpb4xZI0bXOmK60e0LVdyrNO9sPm_o0CC-i03ghT2-ExvYnLpjhSu3rG-lOXwSpSCVmIwU6AeX8_ONEdbQZtOH2ckGug_Va6oG_1VgladFlUTfXof0DuafDI/w188-h200/pp670.png" width="188" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-yr446Q6CnjaP_T1dwUmF4uZ66HzqErzBnbu0gZ62FKfGdn-omNoM8pi25SyMRlJfy-LrLLBjWaUWYAFa7NvHQ5ql9-ECECOCOV9hqz6xBneSk3nHrpMdTHMyynX0tvabhspFPNNgoeSFTC9eYaMfH43fkkABtY59BvWQx52f4qfX6IO-jYFrc11u5uiW/s400/FMS%20Sketch%20616-001.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="309" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-yr446Q6CnjaP_T1dwUmF4uZ66HzqErzBnbu0gZ62FKfGdn-omNoM8pi25SyMRlJfy-LrLLBjWaUWYAFa7NvHQ5ql9-ECECOCOV9hqz6xBneSk3nHrpMdTHMyynX0tvabhspFPNNgoeSFTC9eYaMfH43fkkABtY59BvWQx52f4qfX6IO-jYFrc11u5uiW/w154-h200/FMS%20Sketch%20616-001.png" width="154" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>The stamps, dies and embossing folder are all from Spellbinders. Yesterday it got up to 75! We've been preping for our trip to NY on Friday, getting laundry done, scheduling our ride to the airport, etc. Tomorrow will be packing day.</p><p>It's color week at <a href="https://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2023/11/pp666-colour-challenge-from-joanne.html">The Paper Players</a> and Joanne has a holiday color palette this month of red, gold, green and another color of our choice. I choose blue, well I guess really it's aqua, as my fourth color to make these all die cut cards. All of the dies are from Spellbinders, as are the card stocks and glimmer paper. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg21SAmkAOeXgVpvKih_dfkwMn3cjF7ttfPwLagNtq9Ggy6GEcebDLZIECMIevR_fJOfMNsWrgPwiD6KtCOqHfs-WEPNwUlZUmVDyegTKXCvOZzXtBaGmlDTcZ5mTZs-ZQppuJR9zIxBzmnA-ysRYmlyvkqcZKyAhDXw6Ja_D1HAoJZ5xpaY1QJjIf6w_S2/s2121/IMG_3602-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1671" data-original-width="2121" height="504" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg21SAmkAOeXgVpvKih_dfkwMn3cjF7ttfPwLagNtq9Ggy6GEcebDLZIECMIevR_fJOfMNsWrgPwiD6KtCOqHfs-WEPNwUlZUmVDyegTKXCvOZzXtBaGmlDTcZ5mTZs-ZQppuJR9zIxBzmnA-ysRYmlyvkqcZKyAhDXw6Ja_D1HAoJZ5xpaY1QJjIf6w_S2/w640-h504/IMG_3602-1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6UvrKjEgErpdBsSLw5gRA7zoLF9BWleKzquZj9xp83F5CiBFTOS4DS-xC7ihAJmcIg5tg-FFw1MGJRFdkGYcqFbYLt3G3fcnoDxSu30WVnCZ4rrMsi_DATNafkp1vrxZOgYEMVT9ukHVnkT5KN4G4xRsLtUMQJsIOtSQNSXq55qANzcY4YNYnsPIyldtk/s320/pp666.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="301" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6UvrKjEgErpdBsSLw5gRA7zoLF9BWleKzquZj9xp83F5CiBFTOS4DS-xC7ihAJmcIg5tg-FFw1MGJRFdkGYcqFbYLt3G3fcnoDxSu30WVnCZ4rrMsi_DATNafkp1vrxZOgYEMVT9ukHVnkT5KN4G4xRsLtUMQJsIOtSQNSXq55qANzcY4YNYnsPIyldtk/w188-h200/pp666.png" width="188" /></a></div><br /><p>I started this card by embossing the top of the card base. Then I very lightly rubbed the top with gold craft ink so it just highlighted the raised portions from the embossing folder. The large bow is a die set called All Occasion Bow, and is super fun to put together. I've made several in many different colors, but when I saw that gold was one of Joanne's colors, I thought it would look pretty with this glimmer paper from Spellbinders. The flowers, leaves and sentiment dies are from another Spellbinders holiday die set which is called Petite Blooms.</p><p>For the inside, I used sentiments that I hot foiled using a Spellbinders Glimmer holiday sentiment set.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkarp_J7TtjMC4TC-aWyLJ4VTtiUTSs5-cv2frUR99bz6_qcvCGTyaLIVMbzHazJii2-yHTR5mILmZvs9Vu-X3QWo84PALMQKgwc1YHFYj3tlua4TARRHrnF83epS79mYqWil1rczzfRyhzecd0mUcEVbL-EWmDy0pitLpORMukelO45Iqc8MxkL2KuFpa/s1939/IMG_3603.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1555" data-original-width="1939" height="514" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkarp_J7TtjMC4TC-aWyLJ4VTtiUTSs5-cv2frUR99bz6_qcvCGTyaLIVMbzHazJii2-yHTR5mILmZvs9Vu-X3QWo84PALMQKgwc1YHFYj3tlua4TARRHrnF83epS79mYqWil1rczzfRyhzecd0mUcEVbL-EWmDy0pitLpORMukelO45Iqc8MxkL2KuFpa/w640-h514/IMG_3603.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>On the second card, I went with a green background starting with the same steps as with the first. Dry embossing the card base and using gold craft ink to highlight the raised portions. The Christmas tree has a base but I just used the inside florals here. The leaves are cut from gold card stock and the flowers are cut from white and colored using blending brushes. Unfortunately, in my photos they look pink-ish, but I did use red inks, Gina K Red Velvet and Lipstick. I took the pictures both inside and outside, but no difference in the colors on the flowers. The dark red pearls match the darker ink blending almost perfectly IRL.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgartpGgl-pH2kR9AXmuwNJW9OvGAztwcXBly8f2Y-3bQrDfEU1SdAlqBzEwR7N-ZFbcD1c2hsnpDH5aZV2zbe0HCSPmJO_7xaHenYk9shfjgEHDjRtlbFKB7rO8g8rPBMAgKJXQ0Z5wxN1VK_uFLIPEQNrIwN7PHjrC7DsN72XneAggFBuVLBQMAHRIgTj/s2177/IMG_3605.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2177" data-original-width="1718" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgartpGgl-pH2kR9AXmuwNJW9OvGAztwcXBly8f2Y-3bQrDfEU1SdAlqBzEwR7N-ZFbcD1c2hsnpDH5aZV2zbe0HCSPmJO_7xaHenYk9shfjgEHDjRtlbFKB7rO8g8rPBMAgKJXQ0Z5wxN1VK_uFLIPEQNrIwN7PHjrC7DsN72XneAggFBuVLBQMAHRIgTj/w506-h640/IMG_3605.jpg" width="506" /></a></div><br /><p>Here's the inside of this card. We leave on Friday early am, so I'm not sure I'll be doing much crafting tomorrow. We are back home on Dec. 12. Happy Thanksgiving next week to all those celebrating in the U.S. I hope you get to spend it with family and friends.</p><p>Colleen</p><p><br /></p><div style="text-align: left;">Supplies</div><div style="text-align: left;">Spellbinders die sets: All Occasion Bow, Petite Blooms and Layered Poinsettia Tree </div><div style="text-align: left;">Paper: Spellbinders card stocks</div><div style="text-align: left;">Ink: Color Box gold craft, Gina K Designs Embossing craft ink, Gina K Designs Red Velvet, Lipstick, Turquoise Sea, Sea Glass</div><div style="text-align: left;">Other: Spellbinders embossing folders Holly & Foliage and Stylized Trellis, GKD gold embossing powder, heat tool, Big Shot, Connect glue, foam squares, Red Pearls</div>Colleen Begleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10475258817613372871noreply@blogger.com2
