Ghoul's Night Out

Hi and happy weekend!

I'm so glad that it's the weekend after this past work week. I had a, as I like to call them, an "ON" week where I'm in the spotlight. I was mentoring a new team member and also doing technical training in a customer's laboratory, two sessions for four hours each day. It's exhausting being "ON!" I was so happy to get home to relax and my favorite relaxing technique is stamping, so needless to say, I was quite productive this morning. I got three cards made and I'm quite happy with them.

I thought the new Case This Sketch layout looked fun and I immediately had an idea for a Halloween card.

I love how this turned out! I started with some watercolor paper that I smooshed with two colors of Distress Crayons to create the night sky background. I quick dried the panel then cut the stars out with a Die-namics start background die. The panel is layered over SU silver card stock. The card base is textured dark gray.

I stamped the ghouls and their costumes in Memento tuxedo black and colored them with Copics then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I arranged them on the panel, popping them up with dimensionals. Could they be any cuter?

The sentiment is more smooshed watercolor paper using the same crayons, just a little more blue this time than pink. After quick drying, I stamped the sentiment and cut it with a Die-namics pinking circle die. I cut a second circle in black card stock to create a shadow effect.

I added two more ghouls on the inside with the greeting stamped onto a panel of patterned paper. It's layered onto SU Gable Green card stock.

This card was super fun to make! I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Have a great Saturday evening!

Colleen
