Chicks Rule

Ah. Layers, layers, layers. I love 'em!

It's time to get started on my Easter cards and Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #111 is the perfect inspiration to get me going today.  I pulled out my new Taylored Expressions Easter set, Hello Spring, and came up with this cutie for my niece Rachel. It's true, Chicks do Rule. ;D

I paper pieced the flowers behind the chicks and put clear rhinestones in the centers of the daisies. The chicks and shells are colored with Copics. Diamond Stickles make the chick's shells sparkle, as do yellow Stickles on the baby chick under the sentiment. A green polka dot ribbon adds additional color and interest.

Supplies
Stamps: Hello Spring by Taylored Expressions
Card stock: TE peach and choice buttercream
Patterned paper: My Minds Eye
Ink: memento tuxedo black, copics
Other: Eyelet circle, big scallop circle and classic circle Nesties, TE scalloped eyelet border die, Kaiser clear rhinestones, diamond and yellow Stickles, TE green polka dot ribbon, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals

I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday afternoon. I'm in heaven doing my two very favorite things, stamping and watching baseball. Go Padres!

Now it's time to get started on my next Easter card. I've got several to go. Thanks for stopping by today,
Colleen
