Cheers

Happy Sunday stampers,

Yesterday afternoon I managed to get another LOVEFEST 2013 card made. This one is for Day #3, hosted by Stampingbella and it's called "Bring On the Bling." I haven't used any of  my Stamping Bella stamps in forever! I've forgotten how fun they are to work with. And, as you can see, I used Karen G.'s Sweet Sunday Sketch #178 for the layout.

I made this card with a certain friend in mind. I know that she'll love it. For my bling I used pink Stickles over the coloring on the cosmo and Fruit Punch Stickles over the coloring on her tank top. And, since that wasn't enough, on went the pink rhinestones around the scallops of the Nestie die. You don't think it's too much do you? : )

Here's the inside:

I just love this sentiment from My Favorite Things "Lets Toast" set.

Supplies
Stamps: Cosmobella from Stampingbella and Let's Toast set from My Favorite Things

SFYTT Happy Birthday

Yikes! It's been awhile since my last post. Too much work, not enough stamping is all I can say.  I hope everyone is having a great first weekend of fall. It's been just gorgeous here on the southern California coast for the last week.  Warm and not a cloud.

Today I have a birthday card made using Jen's SFYTT layout. It turned out very, very bright and I think the recipient will love it.

"Wish Big" With Some Paper Piecing and Paper Piercing for SSSC81

Happy Tuesday afternoon,

Here is my entry for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #81.  For this week's card, I used a new stamp to me, Winobella, from Stamping Bella.  I love Bellas! They make me laugh. This card is for my sweet friend Lisa's 50th birthday. Lisa is a crafter too, so I know she will appreciate getting this card for her birthday.

This week's sketch is pretty simple, and I thought a really fun one to work with. When it came to the four side elements, I immediately thought flowers, but then I remembered that I had a bag of these wine glass charms that I must have ordered years ago.  They are popped up on dimensionals, and I think they did the trick to fulfill the sketch element and to add a little extra zing to the card.  What do you all think?

The coloring is very minimal since I paper pieced Bella's dress to match the long side panel.  I also did some piercing in opposite corners with my SU Crafter's Tool Kit for added dimension.  All in all, a pretty quick card to make.

My Last Post for Several Weeks

Hi fellow stampers and bloggers,

I am so bummed to tell you all that I will be unable to do any stamping for several weeks.  This past Wednesday I fell and broke my right elbow.  I am right handed, so needless to say, managing just regular day to day activities is pretty challenging. (just typing this using only my left hand is kind'a hard) My arm is currently in a hard splint as it is too swollen to cast.  I have an appointment with an "ortho" doc on Tuesday and hopefully, will find out more details like how long my arm will be "useless".  It is pretty painful, but Motrin is dong a good job of taking the edge off.

I have one final card to share that I made last week and photographed.  It's another "Bella" card.  My niece is a cheerleader so this one is for her.

Supplies
Stamps: Pompom-a-bella by Stampingbella
Card stock: medium pink by Taylored Expressions
Patterned Paper: Be Loved from the 2010 Valentine's key ingredients
Ink: memento tuxedo black, Copics, Color Box chalk in tangerine
Other: classic oval and scalloped oval Nesties, stickles, pink ribbon, the big shot and dimensionals

Even though I won't be posting, I will still be checking in on my fellow bloggers post's for the amazing inspiration you all provide. I am so going to miss participating in challenges.

Happy Independence Day!  I hope you all get to see some great fireworks.

My First "Bella" Stamps

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday,

I received my first Stampingbella stamps on Friday so I had to make a couple cards this past weekend using them.  They are SO fun and cute!  I know, what took me so long to order bellas?  I bought six, and I already have a list of more I want.  Do you find that you just have to have new stuff, even though you already have a room full of stuff?  I think we're all the same that way. LOL.

The first card I've made with my sister in mind.  She used to do lots of sewing, mostly quilt making, but kids and work now take up most of her spare time.  So, here is fashionistabella for my sis:

Other Supplies
Card stock: bright red and choice snow white from Taylored Expressions
Patterned paper: Material Girl by Cosmo Cricket
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Copics and Color Box chalk in tangerine sponged around bella
Other: curved rectangle nesties, Material Girl buttons, SU linen thread, glue dots, red ric rac, the big shot and dimensionals

See you tomorrow with a second "bella" card.
