Happy Easter. . . Everybunny

Hi all,

I had some time to stamp yesterday after work. I decided I needed a sketch to start with and I came across the Paper Players blog and their challenge #88 sketch. It looked like just the thing for another Easter card.

I just love this SU Everybunny stamp set. I paired it with some Sale-a-bration papers, ribbon and brads. Other than the Nesties, this is another SU only card.

It's Your Day

Hi all,

After finishing my SSSC card on Sunday, I decided to use the same stamp set and papers to make a card for Jen's DS #44. I love the colors in this Summer Smooches DSP from Stampin' Up.

I really like how the background on my card base turned out. It's made with a SU letterpress plate inked with the same color ink pad as the paper, in this case, Island Indigo. Lots of patterns and colors going on here, but I think they all work well together. This is an all SU card.

Supplies
Stamps: Bright Blossoms set by Stampin' Up
Paper: SU Island Indigo, Rich Razzelberry and Whisper White card stock and SU Summer Smooches DSP
Ink: SU Island Indigo, Real Red, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral and Rich Razzelberry ink pads
Other: SU Boho Blossom punch, SU letterpress plate, SU border punch, SU clear rhinestones, SU tiny clear buttons, SU tiny flower punch, SU linen thread, SU crafter's tool kit, the Big Shot, mini glue dots and dimensionals

Howdy, Friend - Getting Sketchy MFTWSC64

Happy Monday morning all,

Well, as predicted the storm didn't last too long last night. It was a good rain for awhile though.

On Saturday I spent a few hours stamping and this is one of the cards that I made. The sketch is the current MFTWSC64. As you can see, I had lots and lots of fun using many different Die-namics and embellishments, especially some cork and rhinestones.

I found some old SU DSP from way back that looked kind of "country" to use for the three background panels. The angled panel is embossed with a Sizzix paisley EF and in the upper corner I used one of the newer Die-namics photo corner dies. At the bottom are two more Die-namics elements.

For our little cowgirl, her dress and vest are paper pieced and the rest of her is colored with Copics. And all "cool" cowgirls should have rhinestones on their clothes!

To complete the card, everything is all stitched up with my sewing machine. Sewing is the current recipe swap challenge at Linda's Catered Crop, so I'm entering this card there as well.

Supplies
Stamps: Pure Innocence "Cowgirl" by My Favorite Things
Paper: SU River Rock, Garden Green and Very Vanilla card stock and SU DSP (retired)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Copics
Other: Die-namics Layered Labels, Photo Corners, Royal Rose and Scalloped Scallop Border Dies, Michaels green rhinestones, sewing machine, cork, Sizzix Paisley EF, the Big Shot, and dimensionals

Happy Birthday

Good Sunday afternoon,

The rain and wind (Yes, a good storm!) has finally hit. We were expecting it. I like to sit and listen to the rain pound against the windows, which as you can guess doesn't happen all that much here. As usual for southern California, it probably won't last long, but it's a nice change of pace while it does last.

I spent most of this morning and early afternoon stamping, working on some of my favorite sketch challenges. The first one that I did is for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #155. I saw it on Facebook last night (love that she posts them early), and kind of had in mind what I wanted to do.

I thought that the sketch called for something rather simple, so other than layers, that's the approach I took.

This is an all SU card using a new stamp set and new DSP. I kept the colors limited with only three. The punched flowers were not in the original design, but, you know that saying "there's no mistakes, only design opportunities?" Well, I got a smudge of ink just off one of the stamped flowers and I didn't want to do the whole thing over again, so the punched flowers came to my rescue. I kinda like the way they look.

Supplies
Stamps: Bright Blossoms set by Stampin' Up
Paper: all SU, Island Indigo, Real Red, Whisper White card stock and Summer Smooches DSP
Ink: Real Red, Island Indigo and Luck Limeade SU pads and markers
Other: SU Boho Blossom punch, SU pearls, sewing machine and dimensionals

White Wedding

Happy Hump Day all,

One of my co-workers is getting married next month. Everyone in our group is pitching in for a gift card, probably to William-Sanoma. I am collecting the funds and will pick up the gift card. Here is the wedding card that I made to go with the gift card.

(I don't like the way the picture came out. Maybe because I used a dark background instead of the usual white. Not sure where the glare on the metallic paper is coming from since I didn't use the flash on my camera. Oh well.)

The stamp is a really old Magenta wedding stamp. I used Versamark ink and silver fine detail embossing powder for the image and colored the champagne bubbles with a light pink Copic.

Several layers of Nesties were cut out and one layer is popped up with foam tape to create a frame. I used some SU pearls along the top and bottom of the bottom part of the frame. The Nesties are layered onto the base of the card which is embossed with a TE Impressions plate. All in all pretty simple.

Supplies
Stamps: Magenta Champagne Glasses single stamp
Paper: SU Shimmery white and metallic silver card stock
Ink: Versamark and Copics
Other: silver embossing powder, heat tool, labels Four Nestabilities, TE Damask Impressions plate, Fiskars corner rounder punch, SU pearls, foam tape, the Big Shot.

Happy Easter

Hi all,

It's seems like ages since I've been on my blog. Unfortunately, not too much time lately to do any stamping. I had a few hours on Sunday afternoon to sit down and play and this is what I made.

As you can see, the sketch is the current TESC154. The patterned paper is from the March KI kit. I used the TE large layering doily die and the houndstooth impressions plate. The three blue flowers are white paper flowers that I colored with a Copic marker to match the paper.

Supplies
Stamps: Moka April petite stamp set by Taylored Expressions
Papers: TE dark pink and buttercream card stock and This and That patterned papers by Echo Park
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Copics
Other: TE large layering doily die and houndstooth impressions plate, classic circle Nesties, Kaiser light teal rhinestones, flower rhinestone, paper flowers, orange Stickles, the Big Shot and dimensionals

Take a Hike. . .

Hi all,

It's a Sweet Sunday Sketch Sunday, (Yay) and Karen has another fun sketch for us today.

I ordered this Fred Bear stamp set with my last MFT order. What fun was he to color!

Fred is colored with Copics and cut out with classic square Nesties. I used some dark brown thread in my machine for some extra contrast. The flowered ribbon was a gift from a good friend, and the colors were inspired by it. Papers are from MME "On the Bright Side-Two." After coloring and cutting out the compass, I used some Glossy Accents in the center for the glass.

Supplies
Stamps: Fred Bear Takes A Hike by My Favorite Things
Papers: SU Early Expresso, Only Orange and Summer Sun card stock, Neenah cream card stock, and My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side-Two patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Copics
Other: Classic square and scalloped square Nesties, brown candy dots, Glossy Accents, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals

Have a great Sunday afternoon and thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Ribbon Rainbow

Happy Friday evening,

I made this card after work today for Linda's Ravenous About Ribbon Recipe Swap. I've been trying to come up with a little different use of ribbon since the challenge was posted, and a few days ago I thought of a "ribbon rainbow." After work today I went looking through my stamps and came across my PI "You Color My World" set. Perfect!

The ribbons are from Stampin' Up. She is colored with Copics, (Lots of Copics!) cut out, and popped up on dimensionals.

Supplies
Stamps: Pure Innocence "You Color My World" set by My Favorite Things
Paper: Taylored Expressons light blue and white card stock and Hippity Hoppity by We R Memories patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Copics
Other: SU ribbons and dimensionals

Here are all of the Copics I used:

I'm looking forward to a crafty weekend. How about you? Thanks for stopping in,

Relax

Hi all,
I'm just squeaking in my Deconstructed Sketch 41 card this week. I needed a card for my niece who had surgery yesterday to repair a broken collar bone. As I've mentioned before, she is a "pink" girl and so last night I made this sweet PI girl all dressed in pink for her get well card.

The robe and slippers are all paper pieced and the rest of her is colored with Copics. I pulled out my Bow Easy to make a nice, big, perfectly tied bow. Love the look it gives. And, instead of using a border die on the bottom, I thought the ric-rac would go well with the Country Drive patterned papers.

Supplies
Stamps: Spa Day Pure Innocence by My Favorite Things
Papers: Taylored Expressions pink, green and white card stock and Country Drive by Echo Park patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Copics
Other: SU large heart, triple heart and boho blossom punches, glitter green candy dot, Kaiser pink rhinestone, TE pink ribbon and green ric-rac, plastic doily, Fiskars decorative scissors, the Bow Easy, and dimensionals

Colleen

Thank You Berry Much

Hi friends,

I hope you all had a good weekend. I had planned on doing lots of stamping on Sunday, but got carried away organizing my supplies instead. While that's always a good thing, I really would have rather stamped. Yesterday afternoon and evening I did get the chance, and I made this card for Karen G.'s Sweet Sunday Sketch #153.

I pulled out some older stamps and patterned papers (when you organize, you come across old favorites that haven't been used in a while) to make my card.

Supplies
Stamps: Berries and Cherries set by Taylored Expressions
Paper: TE greens, blue and buttercream card stock and October Afternoon-Fly A Kite patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Copics: G24, G28, YG23, R22, R24, R27, Y12, Y18, YR18
Other: classic circle and scalloped circle Nesties, ice white Viva pearl pen, large red ric-rac, blue and green candy dots, sewing machine, the Big Shot and dimensionals

Thanks for looking in today and have a great one,
Colleen

This cute little "Purrfect" PI girl is colored with Copics. The sentiment is from the MFT "Clearly Sentimental About Pets" stamp set.

Here is the inside:
