Happy Monday stamping friends,
I got home from work late, went to work out for an hour, stopped at the grocery store, then came home and made a quick dinner. (my DBF, usually the cook in our house, is working tonight so I had to fend for myself) I finished just in time to settled in, watch baseball and peruse stamping blogs. When I came across Leslie's blog and saw this week's Merry Monday #68 sketch, I decided to play along and make a quick Christmas card.
Supplies
Stamps: Rejoicing With You set by Stampin' Up
Paper: SU Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, & champagne glitter card stock and SU Deck the Halls DSP
Ink: SU Cherry Cobbler

I hope your week has started off well. Thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Congrats on Your Graduation
Hi,
Today's card is one that I made for my youngest nephew, Nathan. He graduated from middle school (8th grade) this month. He's a great student, enjoys school and his friends. We are all so proud of the young man he has become.
I've used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #186 for the layout.
The graduation cap was stamped on a separate piece of white card stock then fussy cut and popped up using a dimensional above the diploma. The diploma was stamped in Memento tuxedo black and colored with Copics. I punched the star with the small SU star punch and added a green pearl.
Supplies
Stamps: Dream Big set by Taylored Expressions
Paper: SU Wasabi, Saffron, Poppy and Whisper White card stock and SU DSP
Ink: SU Poppy and Wasabi, Memento Tuxedo black and Copics
Other: Classic circle Nesties, SU small star punch, Kaiser green pearl, Die-namics Fishtail Flag dies, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Thanks all for looking in,
Colleen

With Sympathy
Hi all,
I'm finally back to stamping! We had a fabulous three week vacation to Portugal and Spain. Everything was great, even the flights. I've been back to work for a week and trying catching up on mail, bills, etc. Today, I decided I had time to make a couple cards.
Unfortunately, one of the cards that I need is a sympathy card. My friend lost his father unexpectedly yesterday. I used this week's Dynamic Duos colors of Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black for my starting point and then went with the tried and true reverse masking technique for the image. So simple, yet looks so elegant.
The image is stamped on some really old SU black and white DSP. I don't recall the name of this paper, but I liked the black sponging and lines in the paper. I think that it adds some nice depth to the sponged and stamped image.
I rounded the corners of the two upper layers, added some black twine and green bakers twine along with the new SU candy dots in black. (love these. I ordered all 4 color groups)
Supplies
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree set by Stampin' Up and With Sympathy by Hero Arts
Paper: SU Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black card stock and SU DSP
Ink: SU Pear Pizzazz and Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Other: SU Top Note die, SU baker's twine, black embroidery floss, SU black candy dots, Fiskars corner rounder punch, sponge, and the Big Shot
I hope your weekend was a fun one, and thanks for looking in,
Colleen
