Hi stamping friends,
I hope you all had a great weekend and had time to get in some stamping. I set aside today as my stamping day for the weekend. My main goal was to work up some cards for M&Ts for my monthly craft group's get together next Saturday. I volunteered to bring the projects for this meeting.
I pulled out some of my new Stampin' Up sets from the Spring Mini catalog. I thought I'd do some masculine cards and the new Sale-a-bration set "Feeling Sentimental" looked like it would fit the bill. I made three cards using three of the current sketch challenges.
The first one uses Mojo Monday 276 layout. The pattern papers are also from the Spring Mini and are called Parker's Patterns DSP.
The image is stamped with Not Quite Navy ink and cut out with SU framelits, then sponged lightly with Early Espresso ink. The birthday sentiment and and image are from "A Fitting Occasion" stamp set.
Supplies
Stamps: Feeling Sentimental and A Fitting Occasion sets by Stampin' Up
Paper: SU Very Vanilla, Marina Mist and Early Expresso card stock and Parker's Patterns DSP
Ink: SU Not Quite Navy and Early Espresso
Other: SU Framelit dies, SU round punches, Die-namics boarder die, SU brads
Thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Celebrate
Hi and Greetings from Colorado Springs,
I wrote this post on Sunday night and set it to automatically publish today. This card is for two challenges, the Freshly Made sketch #68 and the Paper Players #128 color challenge.
These colors, gray, yellow and dark blue, are not ones that I'd think to put together, so they were a little bit of a "challenge" for me, LOL. I stayed with mostly Stampin' Up stamps and supplies to make this quick and easy card.
Supplies
Stamps: Sweets for the Sweet and Feeling Sentimental sets by Stampin' Up
Paper: SU Whisper White, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point card stock and SU Polka dot DSP
Ink: SU Basic Gray, Pacific Point and Basic Black
Other: SU Clouds EF, paper corrugator, white candy dots, silver pearls, SU corner rounder, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Thanks all,
Colleen

Think Happy, Be Happy
Good Monday morning everyone,
I hope your weekend was a good one. I spent Saturday transferring files to a new work computer and getting it all setup to use. It's AMAZING how much time it took and not the way I would have chosen to spend my Saturday. Sunday was much better! I stamped the day away and I made four cards.
Here is one of those four. The sketch is Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #84. I love working with Jen's sketches because there is usually lots of layers and I LOVE layers. I certainly did have fun with this one.
Supplies
Stamps: Pure Innocence Freckles by My Favorite Things
Paper: SU Primrose Petals, Pool Party and Very Vanilla card stock and SU More Amore DSP
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Primrose Petals and Copics E50, E01, E02, E11, E93, B32, C5, C7, C9, T3, T4, R14, R17, red Spica Glitter pen
Other: SU ribbon, SU linen thread, SU heart brad, SU round punch and dimensionals
Have a great week all and thanks for looking,
Colleen

I Didn't Forget Your Birthday. . .
Good Sunday evening friends,
I'm just wrapping up a fun day of stamping and watching the Golden Globes before I have to get busy packing for a work trip to Colorado Springs. I leave tomorrow morning and I'll be gone all week. At least the weather channel isn't predicting snow during the week. Being from San Diego, I don't feel very comfortable driving in snow.
I have a couple of cards to share for this post. I wanted play along with Lesley's first Seize The Birthday Challenge. I made a card, got ready to post it, and discovered that the challenge was to make a feminine card, so I made another one.
Here is the feminine card:
Here is the original (not so feminine) card:
Both cards use Taylored Expressions Belated Birthday mini stamp sets. They are colored with Copics.

Je t aime
Hi all,
A long day at work today doing training. My reward? Stamping the evening away. I'm loving the layout of Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #83 so I used it to make my first Valentine's Day card. I went with the traditional "Valentines" colors of red, pink and white paired with one of Taylor's Moka girls, Moka Cherie.
She looks like quite the "sassy" young lady and reminds me of my niece Rachel. I'm thinking this may just be the perfect card to send her for Valentine's Day.
Supplies
Stamps: Moka Cherie by Taylored Expressions
Paper: TE Choice Snow White, SU Real Red and X-Press It Blending card stocks and ?? patterned papers (old ones from a KI kit that I didn't write the manufacturer on)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, SU Real Red and Copics
Other: classic oval and scalloped oval Nesties, TE heart border die, TE Hearts A Plenty die, SU white ribbon, Spica black glitter pen (shoes), sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Have a great Wednesday and thanks for looking,
Colleen

Thanks A Ton!
It's Monday evening and here in San Diego and we are having a gorgeous sunset. I just got home from my daily walk at the beach, my favorite form of exercise. We're heading out in a little while to meet some friends at a local wine bar for some good wine and better conversation. Not a bad way to spend a Monday evening.
This is my card for the new Sweet Sunday Sketch. Love the sketch! (but, when don't I?) I've used some SU stamps, papers and accessories from the new SU Mini catalog. This new "Oh, Whale!" set is the cutest!
Supplies
Stamps: Oh, Whale! set by Stampin' Up
Ink: Not Quite Navy and Melon Mambo
Paper: SU Whisper White and Daffodil Delight card stock and SU Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP
Other: Classic circle Nesties, TE Wave border die, Crystal Stickles, SU Cute Clips, rhinestones, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensional
I hope the rest of your week is a good one. Thanks for stopping by,
Colleen

Mojo Thank You
Hi all and happy weekend,
It seems like I have been away from my craft room for a month, but in reality, it's only been a couple of weeks. After work yesterday, my one goal was to stamp!
I'm loving the current trendy "chalkboard" or "subway" look and decided to try it out. I have to say it was a really fun process and I'm quite pleased with how my card turned out. The layout is the current Mojo Monday 274 sketch, stamps are from Taylored Expressions and the papers from Pebbles Walnut Grove 6 x 6 pack.
The stamp set is called Much Appreciated and it contains several "thank you" stamps, as well as some flowers and hearts. I started with the largest Thank You stamp and built my panel by stamping the other stamps in the set around it. I used SU craft whisper white ink and some really old white EP. After I finished stamping and embossing, I used a sponge dauber and lightly sponged the craft whisper white ink around the black panels. A red colored pencil was used to color the inside of the flowers, outline the bottom of the hearts and color the center of one of the large hearts. I put a red rhinestone heart in the center of the large heart on the ribbon. Finally, stitching around the circle element and the rest of the card finishes it.
I will definitely be playing with this technique again. So much fun and creative!
Supplies
Stamps: Much Appreciated set by Taylored Expressions
Paper: SU Riding Hood Red and Basic Black card stock and Pebbles Walnut Grove patterned papers
Ink: SU Craft Whisper White
Other: White Detail EP, SU Riding Hood Red ribbon, classic circle and scalloped circle Nesties, heat tool, red colored pencil, red rhinestone heart, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
My plans for the rest of the day are to stamp. I hope you have something fun in your plans! Thanks for stopping by,
Colleen
PS: Happy New Year all!
