Hello and happy Monday,
Here's my card for the The Paper Player's Challenge #154. This week's challenge is a color challenge of Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Baked Brown Sugar. I used one of my new, super cute, Reverse Confetti stamp sets along with Jen's SFYTT #2 sketch. This is a birthday card for one of my "BESTEST" friends.
I found some Echo Park patterned papers in my stash that matched the colors pretty well. Keeping with the dots theme in the paper and the cone stamps, I added the Seeing Spots EF for the background on the Baked Brown Sugar card stock. The cones and ice cream scoops were stamped and fussy cut and placed on the circle element of the sketch. After everything was glued together, yellow and Lagoon Stickles were added on top of the respective colored ice cream scoops and Expresso dimensional pearls added on top of the brown sugar scoop.
After stamping the sentiments on the horizontal element in Baked Brown Sugar ink, I colored in the letters of "celebrate" with the Baked Brown Sugar marker to make them stand out more.
Supplies
Stamps: Celebrate Cake set by Reverse Confetti
Paper: SU Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Baked Brown Sugar and Whisper White card stock, Echo Park "Summer Days" patterned papers
Ink: SU Baked Brown Sugar, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay ink pads and Baked Brown Sugar Stampin' Write marker
Other: Classic circle and scalloped circle Nesties, Yellow and Lagoon Stickles, Expresso Dimensional Pearls, Seeing Spots EF, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Thanks for looking in today,
Colleen

Oh, Hello
Hello all,
How is your weekend going? Very nicely, I hope.
I have a card today that I made for the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I received my Reverse Confetti stamp order during the week, so I couldn't wait to ink them up. I love the graphic look of this set, Arrows and Elements. I paired it with some patterned papers from Studio Calico that I think goes perfectly.
The "chat bubble" is Die-namics and I used the coordinating stamp from MFT to outline it.
Here's the inside:
Supplies
Stamps: Arrows and Elements by Reverse Confetti and Saw What set from My Favorite Things
Paper: SU Really Rust, Taken With Teal and Whisper White card stock, Studio Calico "Here and There" patterned papers
Ink: SU Blushing Bride, Taken With Teal, Old Olive, and Really Rust ink pads
Other: Die-namics Say What chat bubble die, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a great one!

Hanging Out
Hello,
I finished work early today, Yippee, and decided to play along with Jen's DS109 sketch. I went totally "girly"! Can these papers be any brighter? I love them!
The stamps are from TE's Key Ingredients monthly stamp set called "Cutie Pie." The strips of patterned papers are layered and zigzag stitched. The dresses are colored with Copics. I stamped the sentiment above the dresses then cut them out with classic circle Nesties. Pretty simple. The heart "paperclip" is from SU.
Supplies
Stamps: Cutie Pie set by Taylored Expressions, a Stamp of the Month
Paper: SU Lovely Lilac, Summer Sun and Whisper White card stock, Doodlebug Fruit stand patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Copics, SU Lovely Lilac
Other: SU heart paperclip, classic circle and scalloped circle Nesties, TE ribbon, Doodlebug colored pearls, Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
I hope your weekend is FAB! As always, thanks for stopping by,
Colleen

Good Morning, Sunshine
Hello,
I hope you're all having a good week so far.
About a week ago I stamped a bunch of images to practice my Copic coloring. One of the images that I stamped several of is Moka Sunshine by Taylored Expressions. For today's card, I was practicing coloring darker skin tones and black hair. I took a Copic class several months ago in Anaheim were one of the sessions was coloring ethnic skin, so I pulled out my sketch book that we made in class and followed the colors. I didn't make this card for any challenge or follow any sketches. It's just for fun.
Supplies
Stamps: Moka Sunshine by Taylored Expressions
Paper: SU Riding Hood Red and Bashful Blue card stock, X-Press It Blending card stock and Echo Park Summertime patterned paper
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Copics
Other: TE medium and small scalloped border dies, classic circle and scalloped circle Nesties, classic rectangle Nesties, lattice rectangle Nesties, Kaiser light blue rhinestones, TE yellow ribbon, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Have Yourself. . . (Christmas In July)
Hello,
I hope you all had a good Monday. My work day was looooong! I finally made it home around 7:30 pm.
Today's card was made using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #35 challenge, and it's a Christmas card for the Christmas in July Paper Players #153 challenge. Last year by this time, I had several Christmas cards completed. This year, maybe 5. I really need to get busy don't I? LOL.
I used some really old patterned papers from one of the first TE Key Ingredients. I didn't label the pack at the time so I have no idea what they are. I stamped the snowflakes from the TE Merry Little Cocktail set in Hero Arts Shadow ink and in SU craft white. I embossed the white flakes with SU white EP.
I stamped the sentiment and the cocktail on the same paper. The sentiment is stamped in Riding Hood Red. The cocktail is stamped in Memento tuxedo black and colored with Copics. I added some Xmas red Stickles to the holly berries. The sentiment was cutout with the Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX dies and layered. After gluing the panel to the card front, I added some rhinestones to the red snowflakes. Very CAS really, and I like the way it turned out.
Here is the inside: also very CAS
Supplies
Stamps: Merry Little Cocktail set by Taylored Expressions
Paper: SU Riding Hood Red and ??? patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Copics, SU Riding Hood Red, Hero Arts Shadow inks in Red Royal and Raspberry Jam, SU craft white
Other: SU white EP, Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX dies, Xmas red Stickles, SU clear rhinestones, SU corner rounder punch, the Big Shot, dimensionals
Thanks all,
Colleen

You Make. . .
Hi all,
How is your Sunday going? It's gray and gloomy here on the southern California coast. It seems like our "June Gloom" is hanging around for July. Makes for good "staying in and stamping" weekends, that's for sure. I guess I should feel lucky since we didn't get those really hot temps that the rest of the west had last week.
As usual, Karen has a fun sketch this week for the Sweet Sunday Sketch #188 challenge. I decided to combine it with the Dynamic Duo #60 color challenge to make a Thank You card for a friend.
After cutting out the Die-namics flowers, I ran them through the SU Square Lattice EF then sponged the edges with Summer Starfruit ink. The button in the center is from my stash to which I added the bow out of SU linen thread. I stitched around all of the panels with my sewing machine. The ribbon is SU Summer Starfruit.
Supplies
Stamps: Complimentary Greetings by My Favorite Things
Paper: SU Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Whisper White card stock, Doodlebug "Fruitstand" patterned papers
Ink: SU Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green
Other: Die-Namics Open Scalloped Edge and Pretty Posies dies, SU Square Lattice and Wood Grain embossing folders, SU Summer Starfruit ribbon, Queen & Co. green pearls, sewing machine, the Big Shot and dimensionals

Doctor's Orders
Hi everyone,
One of our friends spent about a week in the hospital recently. She's home and recovering nicely, but won't be able to return to work for another couple of weeks. She is NOT good at just "vegging." She needs to be doing something all the time, so this forced downtime is hard for her to handle. (I keep telling her that she needs a hobby)
Using Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #108, I made this card to remind her of the Doctor's Orders to "rest, relax and recover". I started with one of the new TE Mokas called Moka Sunshine. The sentiment is from the TE set called Doctors Orders.
I wanted the cross element to hang over the edges of the card. For the card to fit into a standard A2 envelope, I cut the card body down to 3.5" wide. It's still 5.5" long. I guess you could call it a "tall and skinny" card.
Here is the inside with the Doctor's Orders:
Supplies
Stamps: Moka Sunshine and Doctor's Orders by Taylored Expressions
Paper: SU Gumball Green, Crisp Cantaloupe and X-Press It Blending card stocks and Doodlebug Flower Box pattern papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Copics and SU Crisp Cantaloupe
Other: TE Gift Card, Frame It Up 1, Curly Border, Hearts A Plenty, Friendship Blooms, and Butterflies dies, Queen and Co. pearls and rhinestones, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Have a great rest of the weekend and thanks for stopping by,
Colleen

Make a Wish
Hi and Happy July 3,
Do you have plans for tomorrow? I have the day off work, but have to work on Friday, so no out of town plans. We will be heading to a small evening party at our friend's house. It's close to the San Diego county fair grounds, and they have a really great view of the fireworks. That will be fun. I'm sure I'll be doing some stamping during the day, and watching baseball.
Today's card I made using Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #107. I love this Echo Park So Happy Together patterned paper. Great colors and cute images.
I stamped the main image twice, cut out the candle (or the i), popped it up on foam tape and covered it with yellow Stickles. I also stitched around all of the panels before putting everything together.
Here's the inside:
Supplies
Stamps: Birthday Sentiments set and LDJ Sweet Roses set by My Favorite Things
Paper: TE dark red, medium blue and white card stock and Echo Park So Happy Together patterned papers
Ink: Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Red Royal, Memento Tuxedo black and Yellow Y06 Copic for shading
Other: Classic oval Nesties, Die-namics Fish Tail Flags STAX die, sewing machine, yellow Stickles, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Happy July 4th and thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Congrats on Your New Abode
Good Afternoon all,
One of my co-workers recently moved from Fallbrook in North San Diego county to the Central Coast area of California. I'm very envious as I LOVE the Central Coast! It's a really beautiful area. I made her a happy new home card using the TE Lakeside Lodge set and Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #187 layout.
I stamped the house using SU black craft ink on SU water color paper, then heat embossed it with clear powder. I colored it with Tim Holtz Distress Markers. (still practicing with these. for me, they are a little harder to use than Copics)
Supplies
Stamps: Lakeside Lodge set by Taylored Expressions
Paper: TE yellow and dark gray card stock, SU water color paper and My Minds Eye Stella and Rose patterned papers
Ink: SU Craft black and Tim Holtz Distress Markers
Other: classic and big scalloped circle Nesties, Die-namics Fish Tail Flags STAX die, Kaiser blue and yellow rhinestones, SU clear EP, SU Aqua painter, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Thanks for looking in,

Hoot Hoot Hooray!
Hi all,
Congrats! to Julee and Mojo Monday for the 300th Mojo sketch. When I got home from work this evening I saw the Mojo weekly e mail in my "inbox." Of course, I had to play along. Love the sketch this week!
I just ordered, and received this cute, cute owl set from Taylored Expressions, and decided to ink it up. The papers are from Echo Park. I've used several dies and an embossing folder to make all of the layers. The owls are colored with Copics.
The owls and the paper colors were used to meet LeAnn's Tic Tac Toe challenge on the Paper Player's blog. I choose to use the top, across option of "Blue, Birds, Birthday" for my card.
And finally, Stacey Schafer is having a July Birthday "linky party" to celebrate her July birthday. (Happy Birthday, Stacey) I'm a July birthday girl myself, so naturally, I had to play along.
Supplies
Stamps: Hoot Hoot Hooray set by Taylored Expressions
Paper: SU Bermuda Bay and Whisper White card stock and Echo Park's Sweet Girl patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Copics, SU Bermuda Bay
Other: Taylored Expressions Hoot Hoot Hooray dies, Make It Memorable label die, Sm Layering Doily die, and Frame It Up 1 die, Die-namics Jumbo Fish Tail Banner STAX die, SU Woodgrain EF, sewing machine, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Thanks for looking in,
Colleen
