Hello fellow stampers,
I hope your Sunday is proving to be relaxing. As with many of my Sundays, I'm catching up on some of my favorite challenges from the week.
Here is my card for Merry Monday #98. This week, Leslie's challenge is to add "country charm with stitching and buttons." I pulled out a very, very old SU set and used a quilt theme as my inspiration.
The inside:
Supplies
Stamps: Little Somethings set and More Merry Messages set by Stampin' Up
Paper: SU Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke and Vanilla confetti card stock and Echo Park patterned papers
Ink: SU Always Artichoke, Real Red, More Mustard and Crumb Cake classic inks
Other: SU button, SU linen thread, Fiskars corner chomper, sewing machine, dimensionals
Hava a great week all and thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Hippo Birdie To You
Hi all,
How was your Tuesday? Mine was super busy! I didn't get home until after 5 PM and then had another 2 hours on my computer to finish the paperwork. I had planned on doing some stamping tonight, but I don't think I have the brain power.
On to my card. . .
When I first saw this set on the Lawn Fawn blog, I just burst out laughing. I had to order it. I received it at the end of last week, and of course, I had to ink it up right away.
I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch # 140 combined with papers from the TE February Key Ingredients set. The cutest hippo ever is colored with Copics.
Supplies
Stamps: Hippo Birdie To You set by Lawn Fawn
Paper: TE teal and yellow card stocks, X-Press It Blending card stock, We R Memory Keepers "Hip Hip Hooray" patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Copics and SU Island Indigo
Other: Classic circle, Big Scalloped and Scalloped circle Nesties, Die-namics banner die, Prima flower, yellow enamel pearl, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Happy Hump Day tomorrow. Thanks,
Colleen

I got busy last evening while watching the Oscars and made this card. I decided to combine three challenges, Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #209, The Paper Player's #185 challenge, and Stacey's Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.
First of all, I loved Karen's sketch this week with the large panel. A perfect place for a colored Pure Innocence image. Then, Stacey's Peachy colors reminded me of Spring, which then fit perfectly with The Paper Player's challenge "Thankful for Spring" thank you cards.
So, what could be more spring-like than kids pulling out their bikes after a snowy winter. (Yes, I must imagine this as we just don't get much snow in San Diego, LOL) I colored up this sweet little girl and her bike with my Copics and used some Echo Park "Sweet Day" patterned papers. And, don't you love those little flower shaped sequins? Those were in the sequins packages that I recently received from a Lawn Fawn order. So, so cute!

Hello Friend
Yes, Hello Friends,
Here's a sweet card that I made last night using the super cute Taylored Expressions set called "Let's Chat." I paired it with Taylor's Curly Border die because I think it looks like an old fashioned phone cord. I kept the colors very simple, just yellow, white and black.
The layout is the current Freshly Made Sketches # 125 sketch.
Here is the inside. I kept it simple with just the layered colored card stocks and some more Curly Borders. Room to write a note.
Supplies
Stamps: Taylored Expressions "Let's Chat" set
Paper: SU Black, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White card stock and My Mind's Eye Meadow Lark pattern papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Copics
Other: TE Curly Border die, TE Layering Doily - Large, Classic circle Nestie, Kaiser gold and black rhinestones, the Big Shot, and dimensionals
Have a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Will you watch the Oscars? If so, enjoy.
Thanks for coming by,
Colleen

Sparkle & Cheer
Hey friends,
It's another rainy day here in So Cal. It's a good thing! This morning we went to breakfast early, then after we came home, I got busy to make my Merry Monday card for this week. Leslie has a very pretty color combo this week of white, aqua and silver.
It's another rainy day here in So Cal. It's a good thing! This morning we went to breakfast early, then after we came home, I got busy to make my Merry Monday card for this week. Leslie has a very pretty color combo this week of white, aqua and silver.
I started with the Sweet Sunday Sketch 208. The TE wreath is stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with silver EP. I colored the balls with various BG Copics and a silver metallic pen. The wreath base is colored with my silver Spica glitter pen, hopefully it looks like silver toile material. The background white paper is SU shimmery white paper that is embossed with a Spellbinders impressions plate. The greeting is embossed with the silver EP.
Here is the simple inside:
Supplies
Stamps: Taylored Expressions Wreaths Of Joy and Sparkle and Cheer sets
Paper: SU Bermuda Bay, SU Whisper White and Shimmery White card stocks, X-Press It Blending and SU silver glimmer paper
Ink: Versamark, Copics, Spica glitter pen
Other: Spellbinders snowflake impressions plate, TE small scalloped border die, TE wreath die, SU and Fiskar's corner rounder punches, SU silver EP, heat tool, Lawn Fawn sequins, the Big Shot and dimensionals
Have a great weekend. We are expecting rain all weekend and as I said earlier, It's a good thing.
Thanks,
Colleen
