You Can Tackle Anything

Happy Tuesday,

Here's a card that I made this past Sunday using another new SugarPea Designs set. The layout is the SPDSS09 from the SugarPea blog.

I made this card for my cousin Brenda who recently broke her leg. After reading some of her recent FaceBook posts, she needs some cheering up, so I'm hoping that this little fishing beaver will help.

I stamped the image on XPress-It Blending card stock with Memento tuxedo black and colored her with Copics. I paper pieced the hat and the vest. I made a mask and used my cloud stencil to add the clouds in the background and hand "painted' the grass with my Copics. I stamped the sentiment one word at a time so I could wrap it around the oval. The image was layered per the sketch using patterned papers from Doodlebug Designs.

I'm telling you, these SugarPea sets are a blast to color with Copics and I'm enjoying getting more practice using them.

Supplies
Stamps: Great Catch set by SugarPea Designs
Paper: SU Early Expresso and Whisper White card stock, XPress-It Blending card stock and Flower Box by Doodlebug Designs patterned papers
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Copics, SU Poppy Parade and Coastal Cabana
Other: classic oval and scalloped oval Nesties, Fishtail Flags STAX die, Glossy Accents, MME and Dear Lizzy enamel elements, the Big Shot, and dimensionals

Thanks for looking in today,
Colleen
