Happy Birthday To You

Hello,

Monday is done, so I only have two more days to work until I fly to Portland to see my sister's family and attend my nephew's graduation. I'm really, really looking forward to spending some time with them.

Yesterday after dinner, I made this card. The theme, masculine card, is for the Paper Players and the layout is from Sweet Sunday Sketch. I kept it simple and brown, LOL.

The main panel is water color paper that I streaked with Tim Holtz markers and water in various shades of brown ink. After it dried, I stamped the greeting with SU Early Expresso.

Supplies
Stamps: Another Great Year set by Stampin' Up
Paper: SU Tip Top Taupe and Early Expresso card stock, Tim Holtz water color paper, and Giddy Up by Carta Bella pattern paper
Ink: SU Early Expresso and Tim Holtz Distress Markers
Other: SU aqua painter pen, SU expresso candy dots, Die-namics die, the Big Shot and dimensionals

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Graduation Season and Three Sketch Challenges

Hello,

I hope you all have had a great weekend.

I usually don't include multiple cards in a single post, but since these are all the same theme, graduation, I'm making an exception.

The first card uses the current Mojo Monday sketch. (Wow, no. 400! Congrats to Julee).

Card two uses the CAS(E) Sketch #126.

Card three uses the MFTWSC #231.

The first card is for my nephew, Ian. He graduates next Sunday from the Northwest Academy in Portland, OR and is off to Macalester College in St. Paul, MN in the fall. The second card is for our friend Kyle. He graduated yesterday from Franklin High in Franklin, MA and is off to UCON in the fall, and the third card is for Kyle's twin sister Kaylee. She is off to the University of Rhode Island in the fall. I'm so very, very proud of these three young adults and know they will do very well at their respective universities.

Happy Birthday

Hello,

It's been a few weeks since my last post because that "work thing" has gotten in the way of my stamping time again! I finally had some time on Sunday afternoon to sit down and stamp. I have several friends with birthdays this summer so I decided to use The Paper Player's Tic-Tac-Toe challenge to make a card for my stash.

I stretched my style a little with this "scrappy" card. This isn't my usual style, but I kind of like the way it turned out.

I chose the bottom horizontal combination for my card. Like everyone, I love this new flower from SU. We've seen it all over blog-land lately. I stamped it on SU water color paper with SU Craft black ink and embossed with clear EP. I used my new Zig CLEAN COLOR Real Brush water color markers to color the image. Jennifer McGuire has 3 good YouTube videos on these new markers. They are fun! A friend gave me a set of 12 because she didn't think she would use them. Lucky me! (Now I want more colors, LOL.) Also keeping up with trends, I used the "label" style greeting stamping "birthday" with VersaMark ink on black card stock and embossing with SU white EP.
