Happy New Year's Eve to all,
I hope the last holiday weekend of 2017 is a happy one for you! Mr Personal Chef and I are at our friend's in the Central Coast wine country for the weekend. We've been having a fun time, as we usually do. Tonight we are going out to dinner, we'll probably be home early and watch the TV New Year's Eve shows. Nothing much exciting! How about you?
I have a quick post with another card that I made at my Mom's last week. This is a set called Lots of Lavender from the 2018 Sale-a-bration catalog. The sketch is the current Freshly Made Sketches.
Happy 2018 to all!
Thanks,
Colleen

You Are the Sweetest
Hello everyone,
I hope your Christmas holiday was joyous and relaxing. I am spending a few days with my mom in northern California. We had a quiet Christmas and spent a few hours in the early evening driving around looking at lights in her small city, followed by a little dessert.
I brought some stamping supplies with me to play around with. What I call "stamping the old way" with just paper, ink, and stamps. No dies or embellishments other than patterned papers. I did bring some colored pencils for coloring images, a glue runner and scissors. I received my pre-order from the new Occasions catalog, so those were the stamp sets that I brought to play with.
Using the current CASE THIS SKETCH and the the Fruit Basket set and DSP pack I made this card.
The strawberries and melons were stamped and then fussy cut and popped up with mini-dimensionals.
I used more of the DSP on the inside too.
I'm at mom's for one more night, then I'm meeting up with Mr. Personal Chef at our friend's on the Central Coast wine country for New Years.
Thanks for looking in,
Colleen

Sending You
Hi Peeps,
A very quick post this afternoon as I should be packing. I'm working in Oregon the rest of the week with a very early flight tomorrow morning. But, I couldn't let the final Paper Players Challenge of the year go by without participating.
This week, Claire is the hostess with a bright and fun color theme. Garden Green, Powder Pink, Melon mambo and Lemon Lime Twist. Mr. Personal Chef wanted one more card from me, this one for our letter carrier, so I used Claire's colors to make this.
The coffee cups are from Lil Inkers. They are stamped in the challenge colors. I used the Misti so I could get them nice and even. The background papers are SU Be Merry DSP. I found these little gum drops in the colors and thought they would be fun on the coffee cups.
Here's the inside with the greeting from Lawn Fawn. It fit!
The Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is in full swing too, so I'm posting this coffee themed card there as well.
Have a great rest of your week all, and thanks for checking in today,
Colleen

Christmas Is 'Claus' For Celebration
We've made it to Friday, woot-woot!
Hi all,
I hope your week was good. It seemed to go really fast for me. In fact, last night I realized that it was Thursday evening and I had not made my card for this week's Paper Players challenge, so I sat down at my craft table after dinner to get one done. I like to take my pictures outside, so I had to wait until this morning to do that, so I'm just squeaking in under the wire to get it posted.
This week Joanne is the hostess with a fun sketch that makes me happy because I can add layers using her sketch design. I had not used my new goodies from the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit yet, so I pulled it out and went to work.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus and their fur elves were stamped using Memento tuxedo black on X-Press It Blending card stock using some masking, then colored with Copics. I cut them out with the largest Die-namics Stitched Oval die. The patterned papers are all from the kit, as are the flat sequins and the little candy cane sticker. I used some white Nuvo drops on the hats and Santa's suits and a yellow Spica pen on the tree's star.
The inside uses another of the set greetings and images.
We are dog sitting for our neighbors today because they are having some new windows put in. Sadie has been her before, as you may remember and she's very comfortable, but her sister, who is older can't seem to settle down. She keeps pacing around the house, even though we brought her bed over. I guess she'll settle eventually. I do need to finish some reports for work after I get this posted.
Have a nice Friday, and thanks for looking in,
Colleen
