I love crafting, especially rubber stamping. Most weekends I can be found surrounded by paper, rubber stamps and ink.

Ewe are as cute as can Bee.

Hello to all,

I hope your Sunday has been nice and relaxing. I am having a great Sunday afternoon doing two of my favorite things. Stamping and watching baseball. So far, my team is loosing, but then I'm used to that as they are never very good, but I'm still a loyal fan. Who knows, it's early and maybe they will turn it around before the game is over.

On the other hand, I love how my card turned out!

I bought a gorgeous tapestry while on vacation in Peru a few weeks ago. They make wonderful weavings and embroidery pieces that are vibrantly colored. I found one that I had to have and honestly, they are very inexpensive for the amount of work that goes into them, especially the handmade ones. I used a quilt hanger to display it above the sofa in my craft room. So, what does all this have to do with my card? I used my new tapestry as design inspiration for my card today to play along with Joanne's theme challenge at the Paper Players.

Here are a couple pictures of the tapestry. (you can click the picture to make it larger.)

and here is my card.

One of the reasons that I loved this tapestry was because of the llamas. There were many llamas walking around Machu Picchu when we were there, and when I saw this in a shop in Lima, I bought it.

For my card, all images are stamped using SU archival black ink onto water color paper using the Misti. They are water colored using Zig Real Brush water color markers and an aqua painter. Once the painting was finished, I used this week's sketch from Sunday Stamps to assemble the card. The oval element is made with Distress Oxide inks and an ink blender, cut out with a Die-namics Stitched oval and Stitched Hill dies. After assembling everything, I used Liquid Dimensional Pearl paints to mimic the french knots on the tapestry. Finally, the sentiment is stamped using VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white EP.

I'm also linking up to Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge. She's on day three today.

I really had fun designing and crafting this card. I'm not sure I'll send it out. I may just keep it displayed in my craft room, LOL.

Have a great Sunday evening and thanks for looking in,
Colleen
