Later Gator

Hi again all,

Here is the second card that I made for Laurie's Humorous theme challenge for the Paper Players.  When this set was released a few months ago I knew I had to buy it. It's one of my favorite good-bye sayings to wee ones. However, in this case, I made it for our good friends that we just vacationed with out in Mass.

The background is made by gluing strips of card stock in different colors to a 4.25 x 5.5 inch piece of copy paper, then cutting with the Neat & Tangled Snake Scales Cover Plate. I adhered it to a piece of heavy weight Whisper White card stock for the card base. The Alligator and Crocodile are stamped with Memento tuxedo black and colored with Copics then die cut using the set dies. The greetings are  stamped both on white with black and on black with VersaMark and heat embossed with white EP. I just cut them in rectangles using scissors and popped them up with dimensionals. Some jewel tone sequins finish the embellishments.

The inside uses a SU sentiment along with more images from the Neat & Tangled set.

Thanks again for looking in,
Colleen

  1. Colleen, I think your background is fabulous and thank you for sharing how you did it. I was thinking you'd sponged a piece of card but your way, the colour is more intense. It's a fitting ground for your cute wee creatures. I can remember not only having this said to me as a child but saying it to my own. Thanks for sharing with us at The Paper Players.

  3. Love that background Colleen - very clever - but this is a sentiment that totally rings home for me; I still say it to my not-so-wee ones as they leave the house for school each day! Two for two - you are rocking our challenge this week!
