XOXO in Black and Red

 Hi again,

I have a second post for today with the card that I made for the new Red & Black Color Hues Challenge. This turned out to be somewhat of a graphic design, which isn't my usual style, but I like this one. It will make a good masculine VD card.

The stamp with all those mini XOs is from an older Stampin' Up set called, appropriately, XOXO. It is stamped in GKD Red Velvet ink on GKD white card stock. The panel is cut out with the GKD Master Layouts 1 die set, and I used the mat die for the black mat panel. The large heart die is from SSS. My amateur photography doesn't show the flower embossing in the die. The large XOXO die is cut from Red Velvet card stock three times, then glued together for a little dimension. Instead of having it hang off the edges of the heart, I curved it just a little to fit on the heart.

On the inside, I used one of the two sentiments from the SU set, and cut it with a small SU heart die, then layered it onto another SU scalloped heart die.

Thanks for looking in,
Colleen

  3. Two beautiful cards! I love the contrast between the tiny xoxo's in the BG and the red, bold XO's of the die cut on the second card in our gallery!
