Just A Friendly Little Boo

TGIF Peeps,

I have another Halloween card for you today. I made this with all wood mounted stamps to participate in Amy's Wood Block Wednesday Challenge, and I'm also using this week's Freshly Made Sketches sketch by Jen T.

After stamping Rosiland the witch, and her kitty Roscoe, I colored them with Copics. The image is cut out with a Spellbinders Oval die and then matted with a slightly larger oval cut from orange card stock. These are popped up with SU Dimensionals onto a panel of SSS holographic card stock.

The sentiment is cut using a GKD circle die which I layered with a slightly larger circle die from the same die set.

There are plenty of embellishments on this card including small holographic stars, sequin spooky shapes and I used black Stickles on her outfit and yellow Stickles on the pumpkin's smile, nose and eyes.

The inside is very simple, stamped in two-toned orange and black with another wood block Halloween sentiment stamp.

The witch stamp is called Rosland & Roscoe and it's from Stampassions. The outside sentiment stamp is from Simply Stamped by Dee Ann McLen, and the inside sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday and the coming weekend!

Colleen

For All You Do

 Hello,

I have my card for this week's Paper Players Challenge.  I've paired some really old SU DSP with a new stamp set from Gina K Designs. I've been in an Autumn frame of mind lately, which accounts for the color choices here.

These little birds are solid images. I used ink cubes to make it easier to get two colors on them, well actually three counting the gold for the beaks and legs. The greenery and sentiment are part of the stamp set. For the circle I used a GKD embossing folder, and the gold dots are also from GKD.

Here's the inside. These images are also from the same set.

Enjoy your Friday!

Colleen

From Our Home To Yours

 Happy Hump day peeps,

I'm planning another lazy day of watching US Open tennis and maybe doing some crafting. I did go for a 2.5 mile walk this morning so I'm not feeling too badly about sitting around, LOL.

I'm adding a card fairly late for this week's Just Us Girls Stencil Challenge. I made this yesterday, but didn't get around to taking the picture until this morning.

I'm using the Spellbinders Stencil Of the Month for July 24 called Sprigs and Bow. It's a fun one to play with. Instead of the usual green and red, I decided to do aqua and red.

In addition to the stencil of the month I also used the wax seal of the month for July as an embellishment. Note to self, I need to start using these wax seal stamps more. I added some sparkle by using red Stickles to outline the ribbon.

For the inside of this card, I used a Gina K Designs mini holiday stamp set. The image is colored with Copics.

Enjoy your day,

Colleen

FEELING WICKED

Hello Peeps,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I didn't really do much of anything. I got a new smart TV for my craft room on Friday and spent some time getting Apps added etc. We dumped cable before we went on our vacation last month, thinking we would go the streaming route. My TV was over 20 years old, so I needed to get a new one for streaming to work. Plus, it was a plasma TV, and it was not very energy efficient. I don't really watch too much TV, but I'm a big baseball and tennis fan, and there are some series I like, plus the news, so I figured it was worth it to get a new one. (Just in time to watch the US Open Tennis.)

I only made one card over the weekend as I wasn't feeling very creative for some reason. I liked the open sketch that Judy created for Freshly Made Sketches. I used it to make a Halloween card.

Using some really old patterned papers from Basic Grey, Dies from Spellbinders, Hero, and Time Holtz I made this one.

The martini glass die is from Hero Arts, and I cut it from Holographic card stock. After cutting the Spellbinders halloween images, I added them to the glass and popped it all up with foam tape to the front of the card. To help the Halloween images pop out, I added some stickies to the bat, the witches hat and the eyes in the skeleton. The sentiment was cut twice and the letters stacked.

Here's the inside, which uses a Gina K Designs sentiment and flying bat image.

Wishing everyone a great week! Maybe my mojo will return at some point.

Colleen

Birthday Wishes

Hi all,

I'm playing along with the Monthly Mix challenge on the Gina K Designs FaceBook group page. For August Gina's challenge is Gel Pen Accents. Use a gel pen to accent the image or images on our project.

For my card I used a large leaf image from the GKD Ornate Spring stamp set along with the largest Wreath Builder template to stamp the image as a large wreath. The surprise is how the overlapping in the center creates a little flower. I love that!

After the stamping was completed, I used a Sakura white gel pen, size 1.0 to make three dots at the ends of each leaf's section. Using the same gel pen, I also drew a line in the tear drop centers of each leaf section, and in the circles at the bottom of each leaf.

The only embellishment is the large black enamel dot in the center of the created flower.

The sentiment on the card front is from the same Ornate Spring stamp set.

For the inside of this card, I stamped just a portion of a large background image from the set in opposite corners. The sentiment is from the GKD So Many Sentiments stamp set.

Enjoy your Wednesday, and thanks for popping in.

Colleen

Have A Colorful Day

 Hey all,

My August Spellbinders club box was waiting for me when we arrived home this week. This month the theme for the clubs is color,  and so I decided to see how the Betterpress plate, called Colorful Bold Splatters would look in yellows and oranges, the current Color Hues Challenge colors.

This is a fun die set that comes with a layout grid to help with the placement of the dies. Since I don't have any bright yellow and orange Betterpress inks in my stash, I used some GKD and C&9th ink cubes in various yellow and orange shades.

The sentiments dies are also part of the August clubs called Colorful Expressions Sentiments. Each word comes with a background die too. The card stock used for this card is also GKD. After cutting the sentiments I used some orange Stickles to highlight them.

Here's the inside of my card. The sentiment comes from the August Clear Stamp of the Month, called Colorful Expressions Blossom.

The next time I used the splatter dies I'll use more colors. I've seen some really fun cards on IG with this Betterpress die.

Have a good Tuesday afternoon and evening,
Colleen

Hey Friend

Hi all and happy Sunday afternoon,

I'm finally back home, and it felt really good to get back into my craft room this morning. We returned from our 29 day trip to New England and Long Island on Wednesday, late evening. We had a great time with our friends on our travels to Newport, RI then up to Bar Harbor, ME.

I needed to make a card to thank my bestie for my birthday present she sent to me while I was gone and so I used the new theme challenge at the Paper Players along with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches challenge to make it.

My card is made with Concord & 9th stamps, dies, paper and inks. I masked the top portion of the white card base with tape prior to stamping with the Pumpkin Patch Turnabout stamp so the top of the card is left white. The large sentiment is from the C&9th Hey Bestie set and it's cut using the coordinating set die. The only embellishment is the added stamped heart with some glossy details added over the top.

Here's the inside of the card which uses another sentiment from the Hey Bestie stamp set.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend, and thanks for checking in.

Colleen

The day we drove through Acadia National Park and to the top of Cadillac Mountain it was pouring rain with thunder and lightening. The scenery was still spectacular. I took tons of pics, here are just a few from the park.
